EAST COAST LOBSTER LANDS ON THE WEST COAST!

This lucky little girl was the winner of our stuffed lobster colouring contest at the recent Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) Rural & Remote conference. "Born" in Halifax, Mr. Lobster travelled to Quebec City for the conference and then ended up all the way on BC's Sunshine Coast. Lucky lobster! Enjoy your new life on the other coast!

We have an incoming physician looking for temporary (6-12 months) housing in the Bridgewater area starting September 1. Must be within 20 minutes of South Shore Regional Hospital. Other requirements:
- preference for 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
- pet friendly (one cat)
- unfurnished or partially furnished
- nice to have - washer/dryer and dishwasher
- house or apartment

- need at least 3 bedrooms

LOOKING FOR HOUSE TO RENT IN LUNENBURG AREA

Hello Lunenburg! I have a new physician and her family moving to Lunenburg in August looking for long term rental accommodations. Need at least 3 bedrooms, and must be in the Bluenose Academy school catchment area. Ideally they would like something that is "walkable" in and around town/school but would consider something farther out as long as it is in the school catchment. They would prefer a house and not an apartment.

We are so proud of our family medicine resident, Dr. Maya Venkataraman, on her recent running of the 130th Boston Marathon. Just days after attending a conference in Quebec City and winning an award (see previous posts), Maya headed to Boston for the marathon. Is there anything this amazing woman can't do? Although she didn't clock her goal time of under 3 hours, we think it's a pretty incredible accomplishment!! Congratulations Maya!
