Meet 2026 Hip Course Faculty: Dr. Naveen Parasu

Naveen is a radiologist with imaging expertise in musculoskeletal oncology and sports related injuries. Patient care is Naveen’s foremost priority and he enjoys excellent relationships and communication with referring physicians and departmental colleagues, and he actively focuses on teaching and research. Naveen works at the Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Center in Hamilton (since 2007). He has a MD degree from Madras Medical College, India, and post graduate degrees in Internal Medicine from London, UK and in Radiology from UK and Canada. He has also done a 1-year fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology at McMaster University, Hamilton.

Meet 2026 Hip Course Faculty: Dr. Parth Lodhia

Dr. Lodhia is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in joint preservation surgery of the hip and knee. He graduated from medical school at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2007, and subsequently completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the UBC in 2012. During residency, he was particularly interested in athletic injuries and arthroscopic surgery that led him to perform multiple research projects and obtaining research grants in the field. He has performed research at Harvard Medical School in the Orthopaedic Bioengineering laboratory and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Lodhia has completed a fellowship in sports medicine with extensive sub-specialty training in arthroscopic-assisted joint preservation procedures of the knee, hip, and shoulder. He obtained vast experience in the care of the elite athlete, with a wide spectrum from professional to recreational levels, both on and off the field. During this fellowship he was an integral member of the medical support team for multiple professional teams including the NFL Texans, NBA Rockets, and the MLB Houston Astros.

He went on to pursue additional sub-specialty training in hip preservation surgery with an emphasis on hip arthroscopy and treatment of athletic hip injuries. He has published numerous articles on hip arthroscopy in several peer reviewed journals. Dr. Lodhia is an instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and is committed to surgical innovation in joint preservation. He has been an invited speaker and instructor at multiple national and international conferences and courses. His research interests include clinical outcomes of hip arthroscopy and soft tissue reconstructions about the knee.

Dr. Lodhia serves as a physician for Rugby Canada and the Vancouver Rugby Sevens International Event, the MLS Vancouver Whitecaps, the CFL BC Lions, and the NLL Vancouver Warriors.

Meet the 2026 Hip Course Faculty: Darryl Yardley

A leader in rehabilitation for hip and lumbopelvic conditions, Darryl Yardley brings over a decade of experience as a physical therapist working closely with orthopaedic and neurosurgical teams.

His clinical focus is on complex hip and lumbopelvic presentations, with an emphasis on bridging surgical and non-surgical care to optimize patient outcomes. He is a co-author of, Diagnosis and Management of Femoroacetabular Impingement: An Evidence-Based Approach - Chapter: ‘Evidence for Rehabilitation After FAI Surgery: A guide to Postsurgical Rehabilitation and Supporting Evidence.’

Darryl is widely recognized as one of North America’s top clinician mentors, having supported and developed over 1,000 clinicians into high-performing practitioners, clinic directors, and equity partners. He is also the co-founder of Clinic Accelerator, where he works with more than 500 clinic owners on recruitment, operations, and clinician performance.

In addition to his clinical and mentorship work, he holds lecturing appointments at multiple Physical Therapy programs across Canada.

Meet the 2026 Hip Course Faculty: Dr. Caroline Forsythe

Dr. Caroline Forsythe grew up in the Maritimes and attended both Acadia University and Dalhousie, completing BSc in Chemistry, BSc Physiotherapy, and a Doctor of medicine. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Memorial University of Newfoundland, along with her Masters in Medicine (clinical epidemiology). She completed three pediatric orthopedic fellowships (Adelaide, Vancouver, Melbourne), before settling in Quebec City. For the past 13 years she has worked as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and clinical professor with the University of Laval.

Today we celebrate Dr. Yoan Bourgault Gagnon — after two amazing years, he graduates from his fellowship, having completed his Masters in Health Research Methodology at McMaster and his specialized training in Sports Medicine and Hip Arthroscopy alongside the incredible Dr. Ayeni.

Yoan set the bar high, brought excellence and heart to everything he did, and left a mark that won’t soon be forgotten.

Sherbrooke, he’s headed your way — and you’re so lucky to have him.
