We’ve seen reports regarding the tragic death of an Estée Lauder executive following a filler treatment. First and foremost, our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

While we don’t yet know all the details surrounding this case, it serves as an important reminder that medical aesthetic treatments, including dermal fillers, are medical procedures. Serious complications are rare, but they can occur.

For that reason, safety must always come first. Provider training, experience, judgment, anatomy knowledge, and a commitment to continually advancing safety practices all matter.

The goal of this discussion is not to create fear, but to encourage informed decision-making and thoughtful provider selection.
