I held my book in my hands for the very first time. Excited. Nervous. Short of breath.
To open that package and see my own words in print ā after years of study, puzzle piecing and figuring out how to share thisā was surreal. Sharing that moment with my family, whoāve seen me through every high and low, believed in me and kept encouraging me to stick with it⦠I was proud, not because I got it done, but who I vecame along the way.
My first book, āPlay Pain-Freeā has been a labour of love for years.
It holds my heart, my passions, and some of my most personal stories ā including my own battles with pain, both physical and emotional. Writing it cracked me open.
There were so many times I wanted to quit, but I couldnāt because these tools have to be shared.
Giving up running was never an option for me, but it took me over a decade of understanding the mechanics of the body, so I could explain these quick easy tools - with the hope that it will make a difference for even one person being able to live without pain.
Inside these pages, I share what Iāve seen work ā the real, behind-the-scenes truths from pro athletes to weekend warriors, ambitious kids reclaiming their sport to vibrant silver foxes learning how to play again.
These are the methods, the mindset, and the moments that changed everything for me and the people Iāve had the privledge of working with.
This book is about understanding pain instead of numbing with medication, stretching, rolling, needling and even surgery. And more than anything, itās about hope ā for the possibility of playing full out again.
Sports are not just hobbies, they are your lifeblood for passion, purpose, inner strength, and finding the deepest part of your soul that is relentless and unwilling to quit.
To everyone whoās been part of this journey, and to everyone whoās going to be apart of whatās next - from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
