What a lot of people don't know is that tattoo artists literally lose life time because of the stress that comes with job. That's why you get quoted a lot for small pieces. Some people think that the most difficult tattoos are the super large pieces; tho in reality, just like painting, you can get away with a lot more in a large piece, as small imperfections become invisible to the untrained eye. On the the other hand, minimal/fineline work is a nightmare for every tattoo artist, because one small vibration of a finger becomes a stain on the whole thing, which results in far higher stress.
