We are hiring a Program Coordinator, Building Belonging! This role will play a key role in delivering inclusive programs and supports for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and their natural supports across Alberta. This is a contract role ending June 30, 2028.

This position will manage relationships with Family Resource Network (FRN) agencies, facilitate programs, provide individual support and systems navigation and build the capacity of community partners to provide 2SLGBTQ+ inclusive services.

The Calgary Pride Parade is just a week away! Spectators and supporters are what make the parade a meaningful experience, so we hope to see you there!

Whether or not you have been to the parade before, here are some tips to keep it safe and fun.

BRING:
🟣 Water bottle
🟣 Snacks
🟣 Weather-appropriate clothes
🟣 Sunscreen
🟣 Hand fan
🟣 Earplugs
🟣 Basic first aid supplies
🟣 Friends, family and community!

DO:
✅️ Dress in your best Pride gear
✅️ Dress for the weather - check the forecast before parade day!
✅️ Stay hydrated and well-fed
✅️ Wear comfortable footwear
✅️ Plan your travel and parking
✅️ Pick a meetup spot with your group
✅️ Plan ahead if bringing a child or pet

DON'T:
❌️ Litter
❌️ Smoke in non-smoking areas
❌️ Take photos of spectators without their consent - this is for fellow spectators only! Take photos of floats, signs and groups marching in the parade, but not everyone attending as an observer wants their photo taken
❌️ Give high-fives, handshakes or hugs without consent
❌️ Judge others for how they participate - Everyone has their way of supporting and having fun at Pride. All is well as long as everyone is respectful!

Applications are open for the fall session of Totally Outright! Totally Outright is a 5-session psychoeducational health program for two-spirit, gay, bis*xual, trans, and q***r (2SGBTQ+) men who have s*x with men (MSM).

Through workshops, group discussions, and interactive activities, participants explore topics related to self and identity, s*xual health promotion, STBBIs, healthy relationships and community health. The program blends practical knowledge with personal reflection to spark deeper conversations about q***r men's health, community connection, and care.

Meals are provided, and participants who complete all five sessions receive a $200 honorarium.⁠

Professionals in healthcare and related client-serving roles: Do you feel confident engaging patients or clients in conversations about s*xual health?

We created our workshop Building Comfort and Skill in Discussing Sexual Health for professionals who want to improve client and patient conversations around s*xual health. Through interactive activities and discussions, participants will increase their knowledge of s*xuality, s*xual health and s*xual health rights, while building comfort and skill in addressing these topics with clients.

Participants will also have opportunity to reflect on their personal attitudes, values, and beliefs related to s*xuality and s*xual health, supporting a more affirming and supportive approach to these topics in their practice.
