Our supplier of pistachios, Tootsi Impex, is issuing a recall on pistachios we received earlier this year. It is a voluntary, precautionary recall being conducted by Tootsi Impex, in light of the recent recalls of Iranian pistachios in Canada due to possible Salmonella contamination. Please note, no illnesses have been associated with this product to date.
Please note the pistachios we are using now have been quarantined, inspected, and approved by CFIA prior to entering the country. We are switching pistachio suppliers to one which doesn’t supply their pistachios from Iran as we speak. We received these recalled pistachios in June, July, and August of this year, and have no more in our inventory. We recently received this recall and were instructed to inform our accounts to which we have sold these products.
There are stickers on the backs of all of our products, they have a lot number as well as a Best Before date. The lot number is 4 digits at the end of the sticker. For the bags of raw pistachios, the lot number can be found above the QR code on the front of our label. The lot number to look at is the first 4 numbers after the L.
The products containing the recalled pistachios are listed below with their specific lot numbers. If you still have any of these pistachios/products containing these pistachios from these lot numbers, please bring them to us or send an email to us at [email protected] for a full refund.
