Since 1996 an Aboriginal Committee has come together to provide a unified voice to address Aboriginal Homelessness in Calgary. The Committee evolved into the Aboriginal Standing Committee on Housing and Homelessness in 1999. Currently, ASCHH seeks to implement the four goals identified in their Strategic Plan:
1. Develop a Plan to End Aboriginal Homelessness in Calgary

2. Review ASCHH's existing

Governance Structure and explore options.

3. Provide Leadership and actively Advocate with a strong voice on urban Aboriginal housing and homelessness.

4. Develop a strategy to access and increase funding for Aboriginal homelessness.

Membership is open to ALL Aboriginal Community members and organizations, as well as non-Aboriginal organizations that are committed to enhancing, improving, and supporting health, wellness, and the rights of urban Aboriginal peoples.
