Lana has a Master of Social Work with a Clinical specialization and is a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers. She has over 8 years of experience supporting children, youth, adults and families create strong, supportive relationships which provide the basis of a strong
family unit. Through the development of rapport, Lana is able to connect with clients, assess their needs and develop unique plans that support each individual, couple and family along their personal healing journey. Lana works with clients of all ages, supporting them in improving their relationships, developing effective strategies for conflict and building a sense of confidence and self-worth. She utilizes evidence-based interventions and assessments that are tailored to each individual client and couple to best support them. Lana works with individuals experiencing but not limited to: Relationship concerns (couples, parent child conflict), depression, anxiety, trauma, self-actualization, grief and loss. Lana specializes in working with the Perinatal community (From pregnancy to the 1 st year post-partum), children & youth as well as individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and challenges with self-esteem. Examples of therapies/interventions used: The Gottman Method for couples; Narrative therapy including 'telling your story’ and externalization; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including exploring cognitive distortions, mindfulness activities and journaling/thought records.
