Breathwork is becoming a buzzword. 🐝
Not all Breathwork is created the same .
At Hara Breath®, we believe the breath should never be something you have to force, endure or push through.
Breath is powerful and deserves to be taught with knowledge, care and respect for the individual nervous system.
Hara Breath® is individualized, nervous-system informed and grounded in safety.
We teach our practitioners:
• One breath does not fit everyone. Practices are adapted to the individual, their health history, ability, capacity and what their nervous system needs that day.
• Screening matters. Practitioners understand health considerations, contraindications and when breath practices should be modified or avoided.
• More intensity does not mean better results. We emphasize regulating nasal breathing, functional diaphragmatic breathing, appropriate pacing and the physiology of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
• Distress is not the goal. Tingling, cramping, dizziness, panic or overwhelm are not measures of a “successful session.” 🦞
• Yelling, Screaming, Kicking or punching is not our goal. We understand that is only causing additional stress to an already taxed nervous system. 🙀
• Pushing through overwhelm during a barely guided, one size fits all headphone session is certainly not self care. 🎧
Practitioners learn to recognize the body’s signals and respond appropriately.
• Regulation comes BEFORE release. We create conditions for safety, connection and awareness, allowing the body to soften in its own time.
• Rest and integration are essential. Stillness, grounding and reflection are intentionally woven into the practice.
Hara Breath®️ offers guided, hands on gentle care. Honouring safety, integration, grounding, regulation and sustainable release. Healing doesn’t have to hurt. ❤️🩹
