“Does it hurt?” is the first thing almost everyone asks. So here is the honest answer, and everything around it.
Before we start, we look at your skin and hair type and set the laser for you — not a default setting, yours. You get protective eyewear, and we talk you through exactly what is about to happen. Nothing begins until you are ready.
During the session, cryogen cooling fires with every pulse. What most people feel is a quick warm snap, gone almost as soon as it registers. Not nothing — but nowhere near what people brace themselves for.
Most areas take minutes rather than hours: from about 15 minutes for something small, up to around an hour for full legs. Then you are back to your day.
That is the whole thing. No mystery, no drama.
