Created by Dr. Carli Axford, who has over 20 years of research and clinical success, this technique is designed to gently release spinal blockages and facilitate the body’s natural healing process. Drawing on her deep understanding of spinal anatomy and the nervous system, Dr. Axford developed a fast and effective way to restore communication between the brain and the body, promoting healing from pain, disease, and illness. Have you ever looked in the mirror after a deep loss and felt like a complete stranger to yourself? 🤍

Grief is so much more than sadness. It is a profound, soul-shaking experience that completely rewrites how we move through the world. When we are in the thick of it, every layer of our being feels different:

Physically: Our bodies can feel heavy, slow, and deeply tired. The vibrant energy we used to have feels temporarily dimmed.

Emotionally: We might find ourselves withdrawing from the people and hobbies we used to love. The joy feels out of reach, and our patience—for others and for ourselves—runs thin.

Spiritually: The anchors that used to bring us comfort might suddenly feel distant, leaving us feeling ungrounded.

When grief is this big and consuming, of course, you are going to change. It is completely natural to whisper, "I don’t even know who I am anymore."

Our society loves quick fixes, but it rarely holds space for the quiet, messy "not knowing." Yet, this tender, uncomfortable space is where true transformation happens. You aren't broken; you are blooming through the dark.

If you feel like you are drowning or lost in a deep fog right now, remember that you don't have to force your way out. The body always knows the way.

Have you started believing your chronic pain is just something you have to live with?

When someone has lived with chronic pain for so long they can begin to lose trust in their body. Moments of relief are about so much more than feeling better physically-they help restore hope, safety, and connection back to self.

So many people are told their only option is learning to manage symptoms through medications that often come with more side effects, more exhaustion, and a growing sense of hopelessness. But sometimes, when the body is finally given the space to slow down, regulate, and feel safe...it reminds us of something powerful:

🧭 If emotions are a compass, ignoring them is like being lost in the woods and hiding your compass from yourself.

But let’s be honest: when you are carrying heavy grief, chronic pain, or overwhelming layers of anger or fear, hiding that compass can feel like the only way to survive. It is so easy to disconnect or think these heavy feelings are "bad" or something we just need to fix.

When we are stuck in that place of disconnecting, these difficult situations and emotions can leave us feeling completely hopeless, stagnant, or depressed.

But they aren't bad at all—they always have a purpose, and when we choose to be in a relationship with them and go deeper, a beautiful shift happens. The exact things that felt like a curse open up to reveal an invitation to a new path, a deeper connection to our true selves, and an unexpected gift:

Chronic pain—which so easily causes us to feel stagnant or hopeless—can actually become a gift that teaches us how to truly be with ourselves. It can be deeply healing, allowing us to find profound empathy, invite personal growth, and realize the incredible capacity we have. It literally creates new capacity within us.

Anger—which can turn to toxic rage if it's not addressed—can instead be transformed into fuel for our strength, boundaries, and motivation.

Because our emotions heavily impact how our physical bodies feel, learning to find these gifts begins by listening to the wisdom of our bodies and those physical sensations.

Through gentle, supportive modalities like somatic work, craniosacral therapy, spinal flow, or spiritual direction, we can start connecting with those signals, whispers, and guidance from our emotions and our bodies.

It’s a beautiful path once we get connected to that internal compass. Noticing those sensations without judgment leads us into a relationship with our unmet needs and invites us on the path to healing and truly caring for ourselves.

You don't have to face it all at once today. Just take one gentle breath.

“I feel completely lost. I don't know what to try next. I don't even know how to be me anymore."

If those words are running on repeat in your head right now... please take a deep breath. You are not alone, and you are not failing. You are just carrying too much.

Living with chronic pain, anxiety, or heavy grief can make you feel completely separate from the world. The hardest part is that you are likely "doing all the things" to get better, yet the heaviness just keeps building. You look in the mirror and wonder, “Is this just what my life is now?”

I understand that exhausted space deeply. For a long time, my own nervous system was highly activated from chronic pain and held emotions. Everything changed when I stopped fighting and found a path that truly aligned with my body. It allowed me to come home to myself, listen to my inner guidance, and find gentle modalities that gave my body a safe way to release and heal.

Your body hasn’t forgotten how to be "you"—it is just stuck in survival mode. There is a way through this darkness, and your path back home to yourself is still there.

I used to sit in the Kaye clinic multiple times a month believing sickness would be my whole life.”

Today I’m back here, but not for me this time. And honestly… I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for my body's capacity to heal 🙏

There was a season where autoimmune diseases, specialists, medications, and appointments felt like my entire world. I truly thought that would always be my reality.

But years later, so much has changed. Through deep healing work, somatic practices, spinal flow, cranial work, spiritual direction, and learning to truly listen to my body, my life looks completely different.

Today feels like a reminder to pause and honour how far I’ve come — and how incredible the body’s wisdom and capacity to heal really is.
