One of the things my girl has been working on is moving away from all-or-nothing thinking/actions and into what I call ā€ dual realityā€ā€¦

ā€œI have a busy day AND I can move through it with calm.ā€

ā€œI feel overwhelmed AND I’m capable.ā€

ā€œI feel sad AND I don’t need to become consumed by it.ā€

Anxiety tends to live in extremes. It convinces us that if one thing is true, the opposite can’t be.

If I’m overwhelmed, I can’t be capable.
If I’m sad, I can’t be okay.
If life feels hard, I can’t enjoy it.

There’s a misconception that healing is about eliminating difficult emotions. It’s actually about expanding our capacity to hold more than one truth at a time.

I love helping people master the art of being comfortably uncomfortable. Without this, we cannot step into more joy, health, freedom and ease.

An expanded capacity toā€¦ā€be humanā€ is why you hear about the joyful moments in her message:
The dancing in the kitchen.
The music.
The intentional moments.
The feeling of not having to rush through life.

Those are signs that a nervous system is beginning to feel safe again.

If you’re ready to grow instead of mask, cope, or just get by…drop me a DM. I have different ways for us to get you from anxious to living a pleasure filled life. xx šŸ’‹

In continuation to last week’s victim consciousness spiel, I HAD to go off on its counterpart. šŸ‘€

šŸš€ Creator Consciousness šŸš€

Victim consciousness isn’t necessarily about being a victim. We’ve all been victims of things at times.

It’s more about where we place our power.

Victim consciousness often gets stuck in blame, resentment, waiting, wishing, fixing, or trying to control things outside of ourselves.

Creator consciousness is more this energy: Given that _____ is happening, who do I want to be and what can I do next? 🧭

It’s the willingness to feel discomfort, make hard choices, take responsibility for our thoughts, words, actions, and patterns, and trust that new possibilities exist even when we can’t fully see them yet.

Same circumstances sometimes.
Different relationship to them. šŸ‘“

Less: life is happening to me.

More: life is happening and I get to decide how I participate in it.ā€

Little reflection to consider: Where are you doing the same things yet wanting a different result? šŸŖž

ā€œHey Grandma, whatcha doing?ā€ šŸ“ž
ā€œOh, just puttering around the house and yard, dear.ā€

Little did I know those simple words would hit so differently today.

As a kid, I thought puttering was just doing random stuff. Watering flowers. Tidying a drawer. Walking around the yard. Starting one thing, getting distracted by another.

Now? I think puttering might be one of the most underrated forms of medicine for women.

Seriously, when was the last time most women got to truly putter?

Not optimize, improve, hustle, produce, manage others, carry the weight of commitments or ā€œgetting aheadā€.

Just wander.
Follow an impulse.
Sit in the sun for a minute.
Pull a w**d.
Rearrange a room.
Make a coffee and drink it while it’s still hot. (Imagine 🤯)

Putterā€¦šŸ§¶

I spend a lot of time helping women heal anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, and the feeling that they’re constantly carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. And one thing I’ve noticed is that so many women have lost the freedom to simply follow their own energy.

Every minute is accounted for.

Every ounce of energy belongs to someone or something else.

The work. The running around. The partner.. The house. The full schedule. The to-do list. The notifications. The never-ending mental load.

A woman’s nervous system doesn’t just need regulation. It needs *room*.

Room for creativity, pleasure, curiousity, and room to hear the quiet little nudges that get drowned out by the noise of modern life.

That’s why puttering feels so good. It’s one of the few times we’re not forcing life. We’re simply in relationship with it. šŸŒ€

And maybe that’s exactly what more women need.

A little less doing.

A little more puttering. ā›²ļø

Hear ye, hear ye. Come behold my nonsense…aka my victim consciousness throughout the years šŸ‘€

Truthfully, I’m still given the opportunity to work on at least one of these every. single. dang. day. Some days I ace it. Some days I fail with flying colours. 🌈 šŸ™ˆ

Here’s what I’ve come to see though: a healthy body, mind and relationships are earned. Claimed through personal responsibility…through controlling the controllables…ourselves. Our thoughts, words, actions and patterns. šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼

Which slide hits home?
Which one might you disagree with?
What would you add?

I’d love to chitty chat on this one šŸ‘„šŸ«–

The funny thing about life is it will always be lifing.

You are the constant … the common denominator in your life’s story.

Nervous system work heals your life from the inside out. It expands your capacity to handle life with faith, a sense of safety, and an ability to handle your day-to-day with grace, strength, purpose and pleasure.

Don’t mistake this message for ā€œgiving upā€. KT is a recovering perfectionist. And, if you’ve ever struggled with hyperfixation, controlling behaviour, over reactive stress respond, over-extending and ā€œefforting through lifeā€ you’ll know what an absolute WIN she is experiencing.

Breaking our survival patterns liberates us.

From coping to thriving. šŸ¦ā€šŸ”„ Restoring your mind-body allows you to ditch the old and create the NEW.

I’m so happy for you, girlfriend. šŸ§šā€ā™€ļø

Anxious energy needs more than regulation. It needs ✨Direction✨

One of the most underrated superpowers of the anxious woman is this: when she learns how to regulate her nervous system instead of fighting herself all day long—that same energy can become creativity, intuition, momentum, clarity, leadership, passion, aliveness and deep self-trust.

That energy can build beautiful things.

This is why repetition and consistency matter so much in healing. Through repeated experiences of safety, presence and conscious choice, we can literally change our mind-body health.

A starting place I often give clients:

1. Down-regulate daily. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø
Even just 3 minutes a day of teaching your body safety, presence and groundedness can change so much over time. (This is something we practice inside ā€œThe Portalā€ā€”my NS healing community. You don’t have to figure it out alone. You just press play.)

2. Practice ā€œCreator Energy.ā€ šŸŖ„
At the beginning of your day, speak as though you already lived the day as your future self.

Not perfection.
Not productivity obsession.
Embodiment.

Speak about:
• how you handled stress
• how you responded instead of reacted
• how you cared for yourself
• how you moved through challenges
• the energy you brought into your relationships, work and choices

Record it as a voice memo. 30 seconds, 1 minute, whatever feels natural.

Then later in the day, listen back.

*reflection* serves as a quantum leap for healing, growth and change.

You stop living purely from habit and start consciously creating who you’re becoming.

Resistance = persistence y’all. You CAN channel what feels like a curse into something that works FOR you. An upward spiral rather than downward.

That’s the funny thing about our humanness: what is our ā€œweaknessā€ is always teetering on the edge of our greatest strength. šŸ”®
