I practice gratitude because it helps to bring me back to this present moment. When I bring myself back to this moment it stops my brain from racing, my anxiety from growing and brings peace to my body and mind. As I practice this more and more it helps me to catch myself before spiraling completely out of control. I stop, sit down and write out what I’m grateful for right now. It also makes me realize how lucky I am and how far I’ve come. This didn’t happen overnight. It’s an ongoing daily practice and one of my self love tools. I don’t come down on myself for getting out of the practice. I give myself the space and love to sit and write and be.
