A little reminder as we head towards the end of the year 😊

If you have extended health benefits that cover acupuncture, now is a good time to check what you have left before your benefits renew in January.

If that sore neck, cranky shoulder or nagging back pain has been on the back burner, or you’ve been meaning to book a treatment, there’s still time!

I’m taking appointments at my Castlegar clinic and would be happy to see you.

🍂 Thanksgiving Monday

Thanksgiving is a reminder to slow down, take a breath, and make a little space for yourself amongst the busy days.

Whether you’re spending time with family, enjoying a quiet day at home, or getting outside for some fresh Kootenay air, I hope you find a moment to recharge.

Acupuncture can be one way to support your body through the everyday demands of life, helping you make time for rest, recovery, and your overall well-being.

Wishing you and your family a happy Thanksgiving! 🧡

Back into fall routines?

Between work, school, workouts, yard work and everything else that comes with this time of year, it’s pretty easy for those little aches and tight spots to start adding up.

Neck and shoulder tension. A cranky low back. That hip that keeps reminding you it’s there. Headaches. Or just feeling like your body isn’t moving as well as it should.

Acupuncture can be one part of helping manage those issues, alongside movement, strengthening and the things you can do at home.

I also like giving my patients simple exercises or movement strategies they can actually use between treatments — because I don’t want your progress to depend entirely on lying on my treatment table.

If your body has been asking for a little attention lately, fall is a good time to listen. 🍂

Have you checked your extended health benefits lately? 🍂

As we head toward the end of the year, it’s a good time to see what you have remaining for acupuncture and make use of your coverage before it resets.

If you’ve been putting off that treatment, dealing with an ongoing ache or injury, or simply feeling like your body could use some attention, there’s still time to get in before the end of the year.

Appointments are available now through December, and direct billing is available for many extended health plans.

🍂 Fall is officially settling in.

The kids are back at school, routines are coming together, activities are starting up again—and sometimes your body is the last thing to make it back onto the list.

If you’ve been carrying an old injury, nagging pain, tension, headaches, or just feeling like your body hasn’t quite caught up with the change in pace, this is a good time to check in with yourself.

Acupuncture can be one piece of the bigger picture, alongside movement, exercise, rest and the things that help you feel like yourself again.

Now that fall routines are starting to settle, I’m back into my regular clinic schedule in Castlegar. 🌿

Whether it’s a stubborn muscle that won’t settle, an old injury that keeps flaring up, headaches, joint pain, or the extra workload that comes with training — acupuncture can be one part of your treatment plan.

Treatment is tailored to what’s going on, with acupuncture combined with techniques such as cupping, electroacupuncture, manual therapy and corrective exercise when appropriate.

And if you have acupuncture coverage through your extended health plan, you can use it before your benefits reset.

Before your benefits reset…

If you have extended health coverage for acupuncture, now is a good time to check how much you have left for the year.

Maybe there’s an injury you’ve been working around, pain that just hasn’t gone away, or something you’ve been meaning to address but keep putting off.

If you have coverage, you’ve already paid for it — don’t let it go unused.

There are still a few months left in the year to make your health a priority and use the benefits you have available.

Pain can change how you move, sleep, work, and live.

Whether it’s a recent injury or something you’ve been dealing with for years, acupuncture can be one part of a broader approach to managing pain and improving function.

Treatment may include acupuncture, cupping, manual therapy, and movement-based strategies depending on what your body needs.

You don’t have to wait until pain becomes unbearable to do something about it.

Pregnancy can bring amazing changes—but it can also bring aches, pains, fatigue, and discomfort.

Acupuncture is commonly used during pregnancy to help manage a variety of symptoms, including low back pain, pelvic girdle pain, neck and shoulder tension, headaches, nausea, sleep disturbances, and stress.

Research suggests acupuncture may help support the body’s natural pain-modulating systems, improve circulation, and regulate the nervous system. Many pregnant individuals report feeling more comfortable, sleeping better, and moving more easily following treatment.

As pregnancy progresses, changing posture, joint mobility, and increased physical demands can place additional stress on muscles and ligaments. Treatment is tailored to each stage of pregnancy and focuses on helping you stay as comfortable and active as possible.

Whether you’re experiencing pain, preparing for birth, or simply looking for additional support during pregnancy, acupuncture can be a safe and effective part of your healthcare team when provided by a qualified practitioner.
