Helping you bloom has always been our goal 🌸

Not every therapist will be the best fit for every individual, and that’s okay! We really care about helping our clients find a therapist that feels in alignment with them. Every therapist brings their own personality, approach, and perspective, which means the right fit will look different for everyone. An important part of the counselling process is finding someone you feel safe with, understood by, and comfortable being yourself around.

At Bloom Wellness, your wellbeing always comes first. If at any point you feel another therapist on our team may be a better fit, we’ll support you in making that transition. If your presenting concerns are outside of the scope of practice of our team members, we have many referral recommendations within the community and neighbouring cities as well.

There are no hard feelings, at all! Our goal is to help you find the care that’s right for you. Whether you’re considering therapy for the first time or looking for a therapist who better meets your needs, we’re here to help 🌷

Reach out if you’d like help finding the right therapist for this season of life 💫

We are so thrilled to welcome Jess Golle to the Bloom Team! 🌸💫

Jess completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology under my clinical supervision, and I truly cannot say enough about how skilled, thoughtful, and talented she is as a clinician. I have had the privilege of watching her grow throughout her clinical training, (though with her background and previous work experience she was already ahead of the game!) and I am so excited for the impact she will have with her future clients through Bloom. I know they will feel deeply supported in their work with Jess and will experience meaningful and lasting growth through the therapeutic process.

Here is a message from Jess herself!

“Hi, I’m Jess (she/her)!

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) about to complete my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) this month. My approach to therapy is trauma-responsive, relational, and integrative, drawing from psychodynamic principles, IFS-inspired parts work, somatic awareness, and narrative meaning-making.

Before entering private practice, I worked in crisis and trauma settings, walking alongside people through some of their most vulnerable moments. That experience continues to shape my work today, bringing steadiness, warmth, humour, and gentleness to the therapeutic process, along with deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

I’m especially passionate about supporting people navigating major life transitions, including q***r identity exploration, religious deconstruction, the perinatal journey, and the ongoing process of self-discovery. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where you can explore the inner landscapes that shape your patterns, pain, and possibilities. I value authenticity, depth, compassion and honesty and want to bring that to the work I do with clients.”

Jess is specializing in the following areas:

• Trauma & PTSD
• Identity Exploration
• Life Transitions
• 2SLGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
• Perinatal Mental Health & Reproductive Trauma
• Religious Trauma & Deconstruction
• EMDR
• Couples
• Adults & Adolescents

Note: Jess’ services are entirely virtual at this time.

Baby in bloom 🌸💫

Surprise! As my amazing clients and team know - I am expecting baby number two this month 🫶🏼

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to step away from clinical work and lean into motherhood fully.. it is not necessarily easy, but it is such a blessing to know that my clients are in good hands with an incredible team and that I have built a practice where I can trust that all will be well.

I will miss my clients dearly while I’m away for a while.. but I’ll still be behind the scenes and hope to share a bit about the journey of becoming a mother of TWO.

With so much love,

Lauren & family 💞

Alyssa - sunshine in human form 🌞

Many of you know and love Alyssa deeply. I am so beyond grateful that the universe brought us together and that we have had the privilege of working alongside each other.

As some of you know, Alyssa is now on sabbatical from Bloom for the next while.. she is honouring her inner voice, her intuition and her heart - by slowing down, reconnecting and becoming curious about where life and healing and this evolution may take her.. and for that, I am SO PROUD of her 💕

Admittedly, I am sad because I just LOVE her presence around the office. But I am so grateful that she is taking this time for herself and her own healing journey. I’m also so thankful to the entire Bloom team, as I know her clients are in good hands while she is away.

Alyssa, you are an inspiration to so many. We love you and can’t wait to see what unfolds for you in time 🌸💫

All my love 💕

Meet Christina 🌸

Christina is our current Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology practicum intern here at Bloom Wellness.
She believes that true healing comes from caring for the whole person, mind, body, and lived experiences. No two healing journeys look the same, which is why Christina focuses on each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Her approach is rooted in creating a safe, curious, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, supported, and understood.

A few things that make Christina, Christina 🌿

Recharging in nature: If the sun is shining, you’ll likely find Christina outside (she’d
happily eat every meal outdoors if she could!)

🍵 Tea enthusiast: Always exploring new blends and learning about the benefits of
different teas.

📚 Thrill seeker (in fiction): She loves getting lost in a psychological thriller.

🎨 Creative + DIY: Christina enjoys creative projects, especially beauty and self-care DIYs, and is excited to try watercolour painting next!

✈️ Travel: She’s planning her first major trip to Greece and Italy.

🌼 Holistic healing: Christina is fascinated by the mind-gut connection and how deeply our mental health is connected to how we care for our physical selves.

Christina is currently offering sessions at a reduced practicum rate of $60/hour, with additional sliding scale options available if needed.

She offers a trauma-informed space where clients can explore their experiences, build coping strategies, and feel supported through this stage of life.

We are so thrilled to welcome Christina to the team here at Bloom Wellness 🌸💫

Christina is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology practicum here from May to December. She will be offering sessions at a reduced rate of $60 per hour session starting at the end of May, with opportunities for additional sliding scale rates, as she completes her practicum requirements.

Check out Christina’s bio below 👇🏼

Hi everyone!

My name is Christina, and I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I’m so excited to begin my placement at Bloom Wellness and support individuals on their path to growth and understanding!

My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I am interested in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I’m especially interested in exploring early experiences, attachment patterns, and identity development in a way that feels safe and meaningful.

My approach is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as strength-based, mindfulness and somatic perspectives, to support clients in building self-awareness, emotional understanding, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and truly seen.

___________

Christina is completing her placement under the supervision of Megan Lemak (MSW, RSW) and site supervision with Lauren Uher (MSW, RSW), owner of Bloom Wellness.
