Our community's generosity keeps pouring in! We were once again selected as a charity recipient for one of the 50/50 raffles at a Chatham-Kent Barnstormers game this summer in collaboration with the Knights of Columbus Council 7744.

We were recently presented with a donation of $226! Thank you to the Knights and the Barnstormers for continuing to support our community on and off the field! 💙⚾

Another summer is coming to an end, and once again, Puddleford Tree Farm Matthew & Gail Whitney helped make it a little brighter and sunnier for our community!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Puddleford and everyone who visited their sunflower field this summer, we were thrilled to receive a $5,000 donation!

Every dollar raised through this wonderful fundraiser helps support individuals accessing our Day Programs in Chatham and Wallaceburg, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

We are so grateful to Matthew, Gail, and the entire Puddleford family for continuing to open not only their farm, but their hearts, to our community.

Thank you for helping our community grow, one sunflower and one act of kindness at a time!🌻💙

We are truly humbled and incredibly touched by the recognition we received in this year’s CommunityVotes Chatham-Kent campaign.

To our wonderful community, thank you for your continued trust, kindness, and support. Knowing that you believe in the work we do to support individuals and families affected by dementia means more to us than words can express.

It is an honour and a privilege to walk alongside you, offering care, connection, and support when it’s needed most. We are so grateful to be a small part of such a caring and compassionate community.

Thank you, Chatham-Kent! 💙

September is World Alzheimer's Month, and last month we teased the return of a memorial bike ride event led by Chatham-Kent native, Shawn VanGassen!

Beginning on Saturday, September 12, at 6am, Shawn will be cycling approximately 500 kilometres in 24 hours in memory of his late mother, Patricia, who was living with dementia. Shawn began competitive cycling at the age of 14. Since then, he has participated in numerous races across Canada, Europe, and the United States, and was named Provincial Champion in 1990.

You are invited to support this meaningful cycling journey by making a donation to our organization! Contributions will be accepted through the end of this month for World Alzheimer’s Month.

Donations can be made the following ways:

🚴 Online at www.alzheimer.ca/chathamkent
🚴 Over the phone with a credit card by calling our office at 519-352-1043
🚴 By visiting our office at 36 Memory Lane in Chatham
🚴 By mailing a cheque to our office

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shawn for honouring his mother’s memory once again and raising awareness with every kilometre of his journey! 💙
