Just letting you all know how I’m feeling these days..

And here is a little message I needed..

I am trying to just get through my days..
I’m trying to fit people in when I can..

And I am trying to accept where my life took a detour because I am needed elsewhere for right now..

Is it hard..Everyday”
Is it stressful..Everyday”

Most days I’m just trying to get through the day..
🙏😢🥺

“””When you learn to say no, don’t be surprised if you feel guilty.

“I should be helping. I should be at my neighbors. I should be working late.

There are all these needs I should be focusing on.” Don’t be guilted into doing things that are keeping you out of balance. There’s nothing wrong with taking time for you. When you’re tired, you need rest. When you’re drained, you need to be replenished. I’m not saying don’t work hard. I’m all for working, achieving, being responsible. What I’m saying is that you need to stay in balance. You can’t work all the time, serve your family all the time, be strong for others all the time. Sometimes, you have to say, “Sorry, I need a break. I need a moment to recharge. There’s been a lot of withdrawals; I need to make some deposits.”

Soooooo

All the talk about 🌶️ tides…

What even are they…?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) that can have a range of effects on the body.

***For example, peptides help orchestrate hormone activity, immune defense, tissue repair and growth, control of inflammation, and digestion.

Peptide Therapy Benefits
Promotes Muscle Growth and Recovery: Peptides like CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin stimulate the release of growth hormones, which enhance muscle growth, improve recovery, and help maintain muscle mass. Fat Loss: Some peptides promote fat breakdown by helping the body utilize stored fat for energy.

Every woman's journey is different. ❤️

Over the next little while, I'd like to share more about women's health, aging, hormones, and the many stages we go through in life.

One thing I've learned—both as a holistic practitioner and through my own personal experiences—is that there is never a "one-size-fits-all" approach to wellness.

Every woman has her own story.♥️🙏

Some are navigating perimenopause or menopause. Others are balancing careers while raising young children. Some are adjusting to life as empty nesters. Others are caring for aging parents while trying to care for themselves. And some are simply trying to understand why they no longer feel like the woman they once were.

We are all in different seasons of life, and each of our bodies responds differently to stress, hormones, nutrition, sleep, and life's many challenges.

For the past nine months, I've been on a very personal health journey.

Last October, after a great deal of research and reflection, I decided to introduce peptides into my own wellness plan. It wasn't a decision I made lightly—it was one I made because I knew I needed to start putting my own health first.

For quite some time, I had been struggling with insulin resistance, nervous system dysregulation, fatigue, and simply not feeling like myself.

As someone who has spent years caring for others through my practice, and even 20 years in my insurance world, while also raising four incredible boys and now adjusting to becoming an empty nester, I realized that somewhere along the way I had stopped truly caring for me.

My hormones haven't always been my greatest ally, and for more than six years my body has felt like it has been fighting an uphill battle. Whether that has been connected to COVID itself, the COVID vaccines, hormonal changes, chronic stress, or a combination of many different factors, I honestly don't have all the answers—and I don't want to pretend that I do.

What I do know is that stress leaves an imprint on the body.

Over the last thirteen years, life has brought many challenges: divorce, starting a new career, grieving the loss of loved ones, navigating major life transitions, and at times feeling like I had completely lost myself.

But over these past nine months, something has begun to change.

I'll be sharing more about my personal experience with peptides, the lifestyle changes I've made, and how one truly amazing friend Mandy came into my life at exactly the right time!♥️🙏

Her support, knowledge, and encouragement have been an incredible blessing, and I'm so grateful our paths crossed.

For the first time in a very long time, I feel like my body is finally beginning to respond. It's letting go. It's finding balance. It's healing in ways I wasn't sure were possible, and I'm slowly starting to recognize myself again.

I'm not sharing my journey because I believe what worked for me will work for everyone. I'm sharing it because I know there are so many women quietly struggling, wondering if they'll ever feel like themselves again.

As I continue sharing, my hope is not to tell you what you should do. My hope is to encourage you to listen to your body, ask questions, explore your options, and remember that healing looks different for every single person.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach.
There is only your journey, your body, and finding what helps you become the healthiest version of yourself.

I look forward to sharing more over the coming weeks. If my story helps even one woman feel seen, hopeful, or empowered to take the next step in her own wellness journey, then it will have been worth sharing. ❤️

With love,
Melanie

💙 An Update from Access Reflex Awakened 💙

Over the past several weeks, many of you have reached out asking when I will be returning to work. First, thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding during this unexpected chapter of our lives.

As many of you know, our family made the decision to bring my husband's parents into our home full-time. We have taken on the role of becoming their 24/7 caregivers, and while it has been one of the most meaningful decisions we have ever made, it has also come with many adjustments, challenges, and learning experiences.

Both Grandma and Grandpa face health and mobility challenges, and each day can look very different from the one before. Some days are easier, some days are harder, and we are learning the importance of patience, flexibility, and finding joy in the small moments. We are doing our best to cherish the special time we have with them while navigating this new season of life.

Because of these changes, I am hoping to return to treatments on a very limited, part-time basis over the next few weeks. My goal is to offer appointments on Mondays and Fridays within a small four-hour window. Some weeks may have more availability than others, and some Fridays may not be available at all as we continue to find balance between caregiving, family life, and my own personal well-being.

I know many clients are wondering whether they should continue waiting or seek treatment elsewhere. Please know that if you need to find another practitioner during this time, I completely understand and respect your decision. Life changed very quickly for our family, and at this moment, I simply do not know what the future will look like long term.

My immediate focus will be on reconnecting with clients, rescheduling missed appointments, and honouring outstanding gift certificates as best I can within my limited schedule. As things settle and we become more organized, additional availability may open up, but I don't want to make promises before I know what is realistically possible.

This experience has also been a reminder that caregivers need care too.
For many years, I poured everything I had into growing my business and serving my clients. I loved every minute of it, but my body has made it clear that I was often running on empty. Between the physical demands of my work, caregiving responsibilities, joint pain, and navigating perimenopause, I have been reminded that I cannot continue giving my best to others if I am not also caring for myself.

Watching our parents age has been both humbling and eye-opening. It reminds us all how important it is to invest in our own health and well-being today, so that we can enjoy the best quality of life possible in our later years.

I have absolutely no regrets about the decision we made. Sometimes life presents you with a moment where you simply know what the right thing to do is. We knew my mother-in-law would struggle living independently after her surgery, and we were fortunate to be in a position to step in and help. It has been a sacrifice, but it has also been a gift.
I am especially grateful for my husband, Richard. Watching him care for his parents with such love and dedication makes me incredibly proud. Life isn't always smooth, easy, or predictable, but walking through all of it together makes it worthwhile.

Over the coming weeks, I will be reaching out individually to clients regarding appointments, gift certificates, and scheduling opportunities. To help me avoid becoming overwhelmed, I kindly ask that you wait for me to contact you rather than reaching out first.

I am also hoping to open up additional opportunities with Kam, who has been an incredible support. She is wonderful at what she does, and together we make a great team.

Thank you all for your continued grace, patience, and understanding as we navigate this new chapter.

With gratitude,
Mel 💙

Well, we are now two weeks post-surgery for Grandma, and I wanted to share an update on what our world currently looks like.

The last few weeks have brought many changes for our family. As with any major life transition, there has been a great deal of learning, adjusting, and finding our footing in a new reality.

When this journey first began, we thought it might be a short-term transition. But as many of us know, life has a way of changing direction when the unexpected happens.

After careful consideration and due to health and safety concerns, we made the decision to move Grandma and Grandpa into our home.

Not every family has the opportunity or accommodations to do this, and we recognize how fortunate we are to be able to open our doors and our hearts in this way.

Richard, the boys, and I have embraced this new chapter with open arms. Lance graciously gave up his bedroom and moved to the basement so Grandma and Grandpa could have a comfortable space of their own, complete with a bathroom that allows them privacy and greater independence.

All 4 boys have stepped up when needed , from packing and repacking and moving and moving again.. they have been everything Richard and I needed 🙏

Our living room has been rearranged to make room for walkers, lift chairs, and all the little things that help make daily life easier and safer.

Life certainly looks different these days.
But in the hourglass of life, these are the days that matter most.
We are slowly settling into new routines, finding our rhythm, and creating a home that supports all of us. Every day brings new challenges, but it also brings new moments of connection, gratitude, and love.

Caring for my in-laws has become a full-time role for now. We are currently looking to hire some additional help so we can have support for appointments, errands, shopping trips, and the occasional break. (Grandpa is especially concerned about keeping his snack cupboard well stocked!)😉

Like any family navigating a major life change, we are doing our best to adapt and move forward one day at a time.
I continue to ask for your patience and understanding regarding my business and what my return may look like. At this time, I will be extending my leave for at least another month while we establish routines, secure additional support, and create a sense of peace and stability for everyone involved.

Most nights are spent listening to baby monitors and checking cameras to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. In many ways, it feels like parenting all over again. Our hearts, bodies, and nervous systems are all adjusting to this new season of life.

I know I will return to Access Reflex Awakened. What I don't know yet is exactly what that will look like.
Truthfully, I am experiencing my own awakening.

Aging parents is one of life's greatest challenges. It's something we all know will come one day, but nothing truly prepares you for it until you're living it.
At the same time, it is an incredible gift.
Not everyone is given the opportunity to spend this kind of time with their loved ones, and I do not take it for granted. I have always felt called to care for others, especially the elderly, and while this role comes with responsibility and sacrifice, it also fills my heart in ways I cannot fully describe.

There will be days when I need time for myself and for my family.
But through it all, I am experiencing something I have always deeply valued—family.

My own Mom has been a tremendous help and I love and appreciate her so much … she has had cataract surgery today so we have added another patient to the list for a few days🙏❤️ I am truly blessed to have this amazing woman and all she has taught me!!

As I slowly begin organizing my return, I hope to offer a very limited number of appointments. Gift certificates will likely be one of the first things available again so that those who have been waiting can begin planning some well-deserved self-care and relaxation, to clean them up and allow all to use them!!
For now, I simply ask for time, grace, and patience.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your continued support, encouragement, messages, prayers, and understanding during this season of our lives.
It truly means more than you know.
❤️🙏
Mel xoxo
