I’m excited to share that I’ll be presenting “Quieting Your Inner Critic with Mindful Self-Compassion” at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 1 — closing out the show!

This experiential session invites you to pause, breathe, and gently soften self-doubt and perfectionism while learning practical tools you can use right away.

You can also find me at Booth 410 with Fabric Art Rocks throughout the event — come say hello!

Coming soon: short mindfulness practices added to my workshops, and a beautiful September retreat near Cobble Hill (Vancouver Island) blending Mindful Self-Compassion and Paverpol sculpting. Stay tuned 💛

When babies are born, they first develop their sense of touch. As we get older, we forget that physical gestures of support such as stroking, massaging, hand-holding, and hugging are vital to our well-being. Being touched can help us better handle stress and other life challenges, and it even works when we give ourselves supportive touch.

Aljoscha Dreisoerner and his colleagues just published a paper showing that soothing self-touch (e.g., placing a hand on your heart for 20 sec) and being hugged can keep your cortisol levels low during a stressful situation.

The paper is free to read for everyone: bit.ly/32izOux"
