🎉 We're excited to share some wonderful news!

During this evening's Opening Ceremony, we were proud to officially launch the Greg Reynolds Instrument Lending Library (GRILL) in partnership with the Huron County Library.

Named in honour of the late Greg Reynolds, a passionate supporter of music and the Celtic community, the GRILL was created to help make traditional music more accessible to everyone. Whether you've always wanted to try the fiddle, are curious about the concertina, or simply want to pick up a guitar for the first time, you can now borrow an instrument free of charge through the Huron County Library.

The collection currently includes:
🎻 Violin
🪗 Concertina
🥁 Bodhrán
🎸 Guitars
🎵 Harpsicle Harp

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. We hope the GRILL inspires a whole new generation of musicians to discover the joy of traditional music.

To browse the collection or reserve an instrument, visit the Huron County Library catalogue.

Thank you to our partners at Huron County Library for helping make this exciting initiative a reality! 💚

Please considering attending this event this weekend and showing Jamie your support! If you’ve ever set foot inside Ernie King Music you know what a great guy Jamie is and now we can show up for him too!

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Jamie for over 30 years, and if you’ve ever met him, you already know what kind of person he is. He’s kind, genuine, incredibly talented, and one of those people who would be the first to step up and help someone else without expecting anything in return.

Through Ernie King Music, Jamie has shared his passion for music with our community for years. He’s encouraged musicians, supported local talent, and helped bring so much joy to so many people. His love for music is contagious, but even more than that, it’s his love for people that stands out.

If you’re able, please consider coming out to the “Hey Guy!” Benefit Concert on August 2nd at the Goderich Memorial Arena. Whether you stay for an hour or the whole day, bid in the silent auction, grab some food, or simply show your support, every person there helps remind Jamie just how much he means to this community.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend this one. As many of you know, my first priority is Jaxon, and an event like this just isn’t the right environment for him to stay regulated. But that doesn’t stop me from supporting someone who has meant so much to our community.

❤️ I’ll be sharing this event every day until August 2nd as a reminder. If you’ve already seen it, thank you for your understanding. If you’re looking for a way to make a difference, this is one of them.

Let’s rally around Jamie the way he has rallied around so many others over the years.
