🌍 World Reflexology Week | 21st–27th September 👣

This week we’re celebrating the healing hands behind reflexology 💜

A reflexologist brings so much more to a treatment than simply knowing where to apply pressure. Their hands are guided by training, knowledge, experience and intuition together with a genuine desire to help each person feel cared for, supported and completely at ease.

Throughout World Reflexology Week, we’ll be celebrating the wonderful work of reflexologists everywhere, sharing more about what happens during a treatment and answering some of the common questions people have about reflexology.

Perhaps reflexology is already part of your self-care routine or maybe it’s something you’ve always been curious to try. Either way, this is the perfect week to learn a little more.

Here’s to the healing hands, caring hearts and incredible skills of reflexologists everywhere 🌍

YOUR FEET KNOW.

When you’ve been doing too much.
When your body needs quiet.
When it’s time to switch off.

REFLEXOLOGY
Come in. Lie down. Let your feet do the talking.

Observation begins before touch.

Clinical observation is one of the most important skills a reflexologist develops. It starts before treatment begins and continues throughout every therapeutic encounter.

Observation is more than noticing physical characteristics. It involves recognising movement, posture, tissue quality, temperature, communication and changes over time—while always considering these observations alongside a thorough consultation, client history and professional clinical reasoning.

Importantly, observation is not diagnosis.

Instead, it helps us ask better questions, adapt our approach and respond to the individual in front of us.

Professional reflexology is built on curiosity, critical thinking and reflective practice.

What aspect of observation has become most valuable in your own practice?
