🚨New Service: Fitness Assessments with Our Registered Kinesiologist

These assessments are designed for children 8 years and older and provide a comprehensive understanding of your child’s current fitness level.

During the assessment, our Registered Kinesiologist will guide your child through a series of fun, engaging activities to evaluate their overall physical fitness.

The assessment includes measures of:
👉 aerobic fitness
👉 muscular strength
👉 muscular endurance
👉 balance
👉 agility
👉 flexibility

Duration: 75 minutes
Cost: $165 + HST

Before we prescribe an exercise, we test it first!đź’«

Why?
Because the goal isn’t just to do the exercise-it’s to make sure you’re using the right muscles. 💪

An exercise might look perfect from the outside, but if the wrong muscles are doing the work, it won’t achieve the therapeutic goal.

By testing first, we can confirm the movement is activating what we want, make any necessary adjustments, and ensure you’re getting the most out of every repetition.

Many people think that “occupations” only means a job or work. It actually has a much wider meaning!
Occupations are things that we WANT to do, NEED to do, and are EXPECTED to do.

✨Our Occupational Therapists help kids to be able to do the things they WANT (play volleyball, learn to cook a recipe), NEED (eat, drink, use the bathroom) and are EXPECTED (attend to a lesson at school, write with a pencil) to do.

⛷️ Our therapists here at Oscar’s Place engage in occupations outside of work! OT, Sarah-Jane, engages in skiing in the winter on her days and nights off!
