🤔 What can you expect during a Manual Osteopathic Therapy visit?
Everyone's Treatment Plan will always be unique to them. However, during your first treatment you can expect a detailed conversation as we dive deep into your Health History throughout your life.
From there, assessments will take place while you are standing, seated and laying on the table. These assessments include various soft tissue orthopedic tests, movements, cranial nerve testing and even more! You will also receive some General Osteopathic Treatment during your first treatment.
Following your initial treatment and assessment, Alyssa comprises all the information gathered from your visit and researches the most effective methods to approaching your goals. It's important to do thorough research to develop an effective Treatment Plan in order to properly address the body's underlying concerns.
Future treatments will involve various treatment and techniques to the entire body, and can include osteoarticulations, advanced myofascial remodelling, manual lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, to name a few. There will also be many treatments involving coordinated breathing with eye and body movements to treat neural pathways from the brain! 🧠
Alyssa may also use Rock Tape, or a variety of other decompression techniques using tools such as cupping, including vibrating cups. MPS and BIOflex Laser Therapy may also be utilized, or booked separately to address specific concerns like reducing the appearance of scars and promoting healing within osteoarthritic joints.
