A new study in Neuroscience of Consciousness followed 75 people with anxiety and depression through six float sessions.

The result: a distinct altered state the researchers named “aquahenosis”, oneness with water.

People described feeling boundless, weightless, and connected in ways that overlapped with experiences reported after psilocybin and ketamine, minus the visual effects.

To our valuable clients, our daily operations will be affected for the next few weeks. I am presently in the burn unit at CHUM in Montreal. I stupidly tried adding wood alcohol to wet fire that was smouldering. The bottle exploded on my hand and lit me on fire. I have 2nd and 3rd degree burns on my right arm and legs. Marie-Pier and River will be taking care of the spa as best they can but our hours will be severely reduced while I recover. Hope to see everyone soon.
