Regular water testing matters, and it’s free.

If you rely on a private well or other private drinking water system, it isn’t routinely monitored the way municipal drinking water is. Testing regularly helps ensure your drinking water is safe from contamination.

Use Public Health Ontario’s Online Water Testing Portal to submit your information electronically and get results online within 2–4 business days.

While children should always do their best, trying to achieve perfection can cause anxiety. As a parent, this issue can be tackled by showing your child that mistakes and failure are a part of life. Read more about how you can help a perfectionist child and learn about the Triple P program at https://eohu.ca/en/classes-clinics/triple-p.

Why get a mammogram? It can help find breast cancer when it’s small, less likely to have spread and more likely to be treated successfully. If you’re a woman between the ages of 40-74, or if you have a family history of breast cancer, talk to your primary care provider about getting a mammogram. No primary care provider? Visit www.eohu.ca/getscreened to learn how you can get screened.

❄️ 2026 Snowsuit Campaign – A Transition Year ❄️IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

For nearly 20 years, Groupe Action’s Snowsuit Campaign has helped children across Prescott-Russell access warm, well-fitting, high-quality winter outerwear.

The 2026 campaign will be a transition year. Our operational capacity is temporarily more limited from a staffing perspective, and the cost of snowsuits has increased significantly over the past two years. In addition, we currently do not have a wholesale supplier that would allow us to purchase snowsuits at reduced prices.

To ensure the campaign continues to be managed responsibly and fairly, some adjustments will be made this year.

🎁 A maximum of 200 snowsuits will be distributed in 2026
📅 Application period: September 8 to 25, 2026
📍 Distribution: October 24, 2026

👧🧒 Eligible children must have been born between 2014 and 2026 and meet the campaign’s eligibility criteria.

These measures are temporary and will allow us to continue offering the campaign this year while taking the necessary time to review certain aspects of how it operates.

❤️ Our goal is clear: to continue offering this campaign in the years ahead and, with the support of our community and partners, to once again help a greater number of children, as we have in previous years.

We will also continue our fundraising efforts this year, including our community fundraising breakfasts at Restaurant Carole in Hawkesbury and Broadway in Rockland, as well as the collection of donations from the community.

👉 Detailed instructions on how to apply will be shared soon.
