Many people aren't afraid of being lazy.
They're afraid that if they stop pushing themselves, everything will fall apart.
So they keep applying pressure.
They motivate themselves through urgency.
Through self-criticism.
Through guilt.
Through fear.

And over time, the nervous system learns:
"If I don't force myself, I won't do anything."

But what if that isn't true?
What if your exhaustion isn't evidence that you're lazy?

What if it's evidence that you've been carrying too much for too long?
One of the most powerful shifts in healing is learning to trust yourself beyond pressure.
To trust that rest doesn't mean giving up.
To trust that your nervous system knows how to move toward life when it feels safe enough to do so.

For many of us, the journey isn't learning how to work harder.
It's learning how to stop treating ourselves like a machine that only functions under threat.

✨ If this resonates, this is exactly the kind of work we'll be exploring in my upcoming workshop. Together we'll look at nervous system patterns, inner child wounds, people-pleasing, over-functioning, and how to build a relationship with yourself that's rooted in trust rather than pressure.

DM me "WORKSHOP" for details.

Some people don't break down.
They keep functioning.
They keep helping.
They keep showing up.
And because they're still getting things done, nobody notices how much they're carrying.
Sometimes not even them.
What often gets labelled as "fine" can actually be a nervous system adaptation.
A learned response that says:
"Keep going."
"Don't be a burden."
"Push through."
"Handle it yourself."
For a while, it works.
Until exhaustion, resentment, numbness, disconnection, anxiety, or burnout start speaking on behalf of needs that have gone unmet for too long.
Healing isn't always about becoming stronger.
Sometimes it's about allowing yourself to receive support before your body has to demand it.

✨ Have you ever realized that "I'm fine" wasn't actually true?

Fine is not a true statement so much of the time. It is likely we learnt that our emotions were too much or not ok. That our emotions made people uncomfortable. This survival strategy keeps your emotions hidden and leads to exhaustion and lack of true connection.

Begin being honest with yourself and asking for trust to trial not being ok for a little bit and see if you survive. See if you get back up eventually. That you don't collapse into a lazy pile of nothingness.

Emotions are human. You are human. Be honest with yourself and allow your NS to learn it can handle your emotions.
