OK,,,,,,,, that’s it……. I’m gonna get ‘Foot Nerdy’……… cos……. I am……..
Remember, I believe………. YOU ARE YOUR FEET!!
Do you know your ‘normal’?? If you do not know your ‘normal’ how do you know when things are ‘ab-normal’???
High Arch……. Narrow Feet…… Flat Feet……. Fallen Arches……..
Are Flat Feet ‘abnormal’, if you do have flat feet should you try to correct them?
In the first picture below do you actually see a ‘deformity’? The bones sure look the same, right?
Did you know we are born with flat feet? The arch is created in our formative years, as we start to grow & walk, but sometimes it does not ‘form’. Guess what……. That’s ok!!! If it has been your ‘normal’ from the start, you still took part in sports, running, jumping etc., you are not in pain, then why would you try to correct it?
A true ‘flat foot’ is not the same as a ‘fallen arch’ (in other words you did create an arch but over the years it ‘fell’). So, your ‘normal’ is now ‘abnormal’ and this will be showing up in your body. The second picture shows a ‘flat foot’, which is actually a ‘fallen arch’ and how the ankle now rolls inward, alignment has changed, so has posture & gait. The body will compensate and so Knee pain, hip pain, lower back pain will start to show up.
Ahhhhhh sorry, very ‘nerdy’……… Well, I have lots more and I am going to share because at some point I am going to get to your ‘normal’. I am going to share via a workshop.
WATCH THIS SPACE FOR AN UPCOMING WORKSHOP IN AUGUST.
When I will share lots & LOTS of hints & tips & simple movements on how to know your normal or regain your normal, and keep your feet strong.
