Create your own personalized perfume and diffuser blends and save money!

Since launching our incredibly popular essential oil blending bar in 2023, we have helped our customers create some amazing essential oil blends. Our essential oil blending bar is simple and fun to use. We have dozens and dozens of different pure, organic essential oils for you to choose from, and our knowledgeable staff are there to help you create a unique blend just for you.

We bet you do! Many of you will recognize this plant from roadsides and open area throughout Canada and it is particularly abundant in our Valley.

This week our harvester Zach, has been out gathering the leaves and he’s at 14 kg so far and still picking! We then dry some of the leaves for herbal teas as well as we make fresh plant tinctures so that we can use it in the Tilia Botanicals Apothecary.

In terms of herbal medicine, Mullein has many uses but first and foremost it is a respiratory herb and can be used for all types of coughs and congestion. (And is great for helping with the lung irritation from the smoke we’re currently experiencing). It is also great for allergies, sinusitis and chronic congestion as it thins mucous out and drains it amazingly well. It is soothing to all tissue that has an embryological link to the respiratory system. So this means that it helps draw out mucous and waste materials from not only the lungs, but the urinary system, the gut and even tissues and joints. In addition the flowers can help with ear infections and the roots can help lubricate discs in the back.

We were out in the garden today harvesting one of our favourite plants Calendula (Calendula officinalis).

This cheery orange or gold daisy-like flower is one of the premier healing herbs. The healing properties of the flowering heads are made into healing salves, teas, and tinctures for a range of health issues, including skin conditions, fungal infections, and women’s health. complaints. This beta-carotene rich herb is used both internally and externally to heal and protect the body from radiation exposure (including sun damage) and recently it has been studied for use in treating radiation-induced dermatitis associated with breast cancer and we created our incredibly popular double infused cream specifically for this condition.

Fabulous for all skin types and high in skin-loving carotenoids, calendula is perfect for all your cosmetic needs. Whether infused in oil, extracted in liquid, or used dry, the petals of this plant are wonderful in everything from creams, lip balms, and bath oils to shampoos, bath bombs and soaps.

Are you experiencing sinus pressure, irritation, and pain? There is a simple home remedy you can try - chamomile!

Chamomile is a natural anti-inflammatory and soothes tissue and eases pain. Put chamomile in a cup of boiling water and breathe the steam into your nose. Careful though, you want the steam to cool a bit before using it so you don't burn your nasal passages! Lavender can be substituted if you have a sensitivity to chamomile.
