Earlier this afternoon, Ally noticed someone walking along the roadside near the Saltpoint Health office with a support vehicle that read "Walk for Huntington's."

Curious to learn more, she looked into the initiative and discovered that Brianna Voss is currently walking 200 km from Lower Sackville to Amherst to raise awareness and funds for Huntington disease.

Community initiatives like this help bring awareness, spark conversations, and support important causes. We're grateful for the individuals who dedicate their time and energy to supporting others and sharing their stories.

If you'd like to learn more about Brianna's journey or support her fundraiser, you can do so here:

Best of luck, Brianna, as you continue your journey to Amherst! đź–¤

Movement matters.

The body compensates incredibly well… until it can’t anymore.

Sometimes the area causing symptoms isn’t actually the area needing the most support. Osteopathy takes a whole-body approach to help improve mobility, reduce discomfort, and support how the body functions together as a system.

Some common reasons people seek treatment are listed below.

Meet Ally 👋🏼

Ally is an independent Manual Osteopathic Practitioner working within the Saltpoint Health space.

Born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia, Ally's path into healthcare started with a lifelong connection to sport, movement, and staying active.

She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in 2018 - but it was during that time, after being introduced to Osteopathy, that health began to look different. The idea that the body functions as an interconnected system completely shifted how she viewed health and treatment.

With a clear vision of where she wanted to go, Ally pursued Massage Therapy at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy, graduating top of her class in 2020 with a specialization in sports massage. This step allowed her to develop strong hands-on skills, a solid understanding of anatomy, and valuable clinical experience - all while continuing to work toward her long-term goal of practicing Manual Osteopathy.

She then completed five years of study with distinction at the Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques in Halifax in the manual practice of Osteopathy.

Her approach today reflects that foundation - blending osteopathy, hands-on therapy and movement-based principles to support recovery, improve mobility and help people feel more at home in their bodies.

She has particular interests in scar mobilization, visceral techniques and cranial-sacral therapy.

Outside of the treatment room, you'll find Ally coaching, staying involved in the local sports community, or spending time outdoors with her husband, their animals, and her many nieces and nephews.

Meet Brandon 👋🏼

Brandon is an independent Manual Osteopathic Practitioner working within the Saltpoint Health space.

Brandon was born and raised in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. His passion for health and movement developed through an active lifestyle and led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University, graduating in 2018, where he built a strong foundation in human movement and the principles of supporting long-term physical health.

During his time at Dalhousie, Brandon explored various therapeutic modalities, but none quite resonated with his perspective on health. It wasn’t until he was introduced to osteopathy that everything clicked—he finally found an approach that mirrored his belief that the body is a truly integrated unit.

He became fascinated by the interconnectedness of the body—how an issue in one area can be linked to a completely different system. This realization led him to the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques, where he completed a five-year Diploma in the Manual Practice of Osteopathy with distinction.

Brandon is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment, meeting each person where they are on their unique health journey. He is passionate about partnering with individuals who are motivated to take an active role in their well-being, helping them move with greater confidence and ease regardless of their starting point.

His approach focuses on improving mobility and addressing the underlying factors that contribute to dysfunction. He has a particular clinical interest in visceral osteopathy and craniosacral therapy—focusing on how the health of these systems supports the body’s overall ability to find balance.

By integrating these principles with a movement-based understanding, he provides individualized care aimed at both recovery and long-term health.

Outside of the clinic, Brandon remains closely connected to his community through ongoing involvement in coaching (paddling and football), which continues to inform his perspective on physical development and injury prevention. He enjoys hiking, strength training, and backcountry camping, as well as spending time outdoors with his partner and their dog, Jasper.

Brandon is officially accepting new patients. Friday evenings as well as Saturday morning and afternoon appointments are available.
