If you've visited us recently, you've probably noticed that our depot has been incredibly busy. This photo is a good example of what our team is working with behind the scenes. Every bag you see must be sorted, counted, and prepared for shipping before we can accept more. Thank you for your patience as our team works through it.

This summer, we're seeing a significant increase in recyclablesโ€”not only from our local communities, but also from neighbouring areas and the many visitors enjoying our beautiful region. We're grateful that so many people are choosing to recycle, but the increased volume has created some challenges.

Our staff are working hard every day to keep materials moving safely and efficiently. When the depot reaches capacity, we sometimes have to temporarily pause intake so we can process what's already here and make room for more. (And trust us, we hate to do this as much as you do!)

While we know this can be frustrating, it's necessary to keep the depot operating safely for both our staff and our customers.

We are currently experiencing a significant increase in recyclables as people clear out after the winter months. As a result, there will be times when we must temporarily stop accepting material due to capacity limits.
