My intention behind my business is to offer guests a safe and nurturing place to land. To offer for a moment a ritual.
A ritual is an intentional act that gives meaning to the moment and creates a conscious relationship between the ordinary and the sacred.
Since moving to Alberta I’ve noticed more closed off people who have strong beliefs and walls up because of my ritual offerings…. I’ve considered doing a whole new rebranding and new business name because of it. However, what’s coming to light is people are fearful.
The right people will find me.
My intention is presence… to be present with what is.
* Washing your hair can be a routine.
* Washing your hair while consciously releasing an old chapter can become a ritual.
* Drinking tea can be routine.
* Preparing tea slowly, offering gratitude, and creating space to listen inward can become a ritual.
* Movement can be exercise.
* Movement performed with intention, breath and embodied awareness can become a ritual.
* Cutting someone’s hair can be a service.
* Cutting someone’s hair as a conscious transition or ceremony can become a ritual.
As a whole we’ve created such a busy life for ourselves. Over consumption, accidents, health decline taking on so much and not knowing how to discharge it all.
Creating ritual for yourself is not going against religion. It’s simply an act of Love.
Humans have used ritual across cultures for birth, death, marriage, harvest, healing, coming-of-age, transition, grief, celebration and connection.
In that sense, ritual is one of the ways humans have always said:
“This moment matters.”
Words from the rose :
Don’t give up she says….And the rose teaches me as always The rose doesn’t bloom by becoming something other than what it is.
It blooms by unfolding what was already within it.
We don’t necessarily need to become a new person.
Sometimes the work is simply removing the layers of protection, conditioning, fear and expectation that have prevented us from experiencing what has been there all along.
Rose Code Rituals is still here and she will continue to wilt and bloom forevermore.
