Summer is on its way, and this is often the time of year many people start feeling pressure to make rapid changes.
They begin eating less, removing more foods, increasing exercise, and following the latest trend in hopes of quick results.
But here is the truth: gimmicks may create temporary change, but they do not create lasting results.
Fat loss is often treated as something simple, when in reality it is influenced by many factors. Over time, metabolism can change, hormones can shift, and many people may be dealing with insulin resistance without realizing it.
These challenges can happen at any age, and years of under fueling can make progress far more difficult than people realize.
This is why many people feel frustrated when old methods stop working and weight begins increasing, especially through the midsection.
They assume more restriction and more exercise is the answer, when in many cases they need a smarter and more informed approach.
I have been coaching for 15 years, and not once have I found a quick fix for myself or for clients to lose weight.
In reality, there is no quick fix.
But when education replaces confusion and people start working with the body instead of against it, change is absolutely possible.
