If you haven’t read or seen Project Hail Mary yet, I can not emphasize enough that you NEED to. Wonderful movie adaptation and also a “feel good” apocalypse story? When does that happen ever? We saw it twice in theaters and it’ll be a regularly viewed film in our house. I think most of us could use a pick me up these days, not to mention finding an unexpected friend in the darkness. It’s a story of never giving up, friendship and finding yourself and purpose in unlikely places 🖤🤘 🪨 🤘🖤

I know I’m still being horrible about posting, I’m sorry to those so few of you that look forward to my work in your feeds. Thank you as always for your support in engaging with them when I do get around to it 😣

I’m not announcing my retirement or anything, I just love turning my dog into a villain hahaha.

I actually just hurt my back really bad overdoing things and am a little bed bound. Pain meds and babying it with soft stretching and reduced sitting are my current treatment plan until it’s less inflamed to allow me to work.

Hoping it’s short lived, I’m planning to return to work on Monday unless I genuinely can’t. I’ll be contacting clients as required, but I’m hoping that taking it seriously will reduce my down time 🤞🏼 I’m so sorry for the inconvenience this causes to any clients, this has been a rough year for wellness that’s for sure >.<

Current progress on ’s forearm, utilizing a thick sweeping swath of Kudzu to cover up a tattoo I did a decade ago. I think hearing that might shock some people - WHAT, you cover your OWN work?

Yes! People are allowed to grow, to change, it’s inevitable. And sometimes tattoos need to be changed to accommodate new outlooks, new perspectives, new information. Sometimes a client outgrows a tattoo, sometimes they might have learned the content the tattoo was based on holds ideologies they were previously unaware of and don’t want to be associated with. It doesn’t mean they didn’t like the work I did for them, the experience, or me haha

And honestly I’m honored that I’m now and again trusted enough to cover my own previous work, I actually take it as a huge compliment rather than an insult, and I’m so happy with how this one is turning out already! Thank you for looking 🥰

I can not wait to work on this again! The start of this absolutely massive backpiece, we were only able to line in the lower half of it but it will be from the nape of her neck to below her butt cheeks. It was a long day for my client between stenciling and lining the busiest parts of the design in one shot, but I so appreciate that people are willing to sit through the pain to help me create my art. You all really are a blessing, we are a team and I literally couldn’t do what I love without you 🖤
