Can a 10-second osteo-articulation help restore pelvic balance?

When appropriate, a posteriorly rotated ilium can often be corrected with a gentle, precise osteo-articulation—not by forcing the body, but by working with it.

One of the most important parts of assessment is reducing unnecessary muscle tension with specific adjustment techniques. When the body isn't guarding, subtle changes become easier to feel and the pelvis can be assessed more accurately.

Remember, the pelvis is one functional unit. Before addressing the ilium, I always evaluate the sacrum, coccyx (tailbone), and p***c bones because everything is connected.

If you're new to osteopathy, I recommend experiencing treatment from trained hands before attempting self-assessment. Learning to feel motion, symmetry, and tissue quality takes time, education, and practice.

This video is for educational purposes only and is intended to inspire you to better understand your body—not to replace individualized assessment or treatment.

🌿 Restore movement. 🌊 Respect the body's design. 🏝️ Feel at home in your body.

🦴✨ The cranial bones are not just anatomy to memorize—they are anatomy to feel.
In Cranial Sacral Therapy, practitioners assess subtle motion patterns throughout the cranial and skeletal system, observing symmetry, quality, amplitude, and rate of the cranial rhythmic impulse.
By gently following the tissues into their direction of ease and introducing a therapeutic stillpoint, the body is given an opportunity to shift from tension toward balance.
The cranial sacral rhythm is considered its own distinct rhythm, separate from breathing and heartbeat. Whether you experience it as relaxation, increased body awareness, or simply a quiet moment to reconnect with yourself, the gentle nature of this work continues to fascinate practitioners and clients alike.

This poster highlights the cranial bones and landmarks that help guide assessment and treatment.

What happens when you combine sunlight, moving water, and a quiet moment?

For many people, stress levels begin to shift.
The sound of flowing water has been associated with relaxation, while spending time in nature can help us feel more grounded and present. This homemade solar-powered pond is a reminder that wellness doesn't always come from a treatment room—it can start in your own backyard.

What's one thing in nature that helps you recharge? 🌿💧☀️

Some places help you breathe deeper the moment you arrive. 🌊

At My Island MO, I believe people deserve to be treated with care, curiosity, and possibility — not through the lens of limitation.
Pain changes people.
Stress changes people.
Injury, burnout, grief, tension, survival mode, and the pace of life itself can slowly change the way we move through the world, often without us realizing it.

My goal is to create a space where your body feels safe enough to exhale. A space where you feel listened to, supported, and reminded that healing is rarely as linear or as limited as people are often told. The body is self governing, self regulating and capable of health maintenance.
A diagnosis may describe a pattern of symptoms, but it does not define your worth, your resilience, or your potential.
Sometimes discomfort is physical. Sometimes emotional. Sometimes environmental. The body reflects the whole self — mind, body, and spirit — and often speaks long before we are ready to listen.
I often hear: “I can’t.” “It won’t improve.” “I’ll never get there.”
Any limiting beliefs won’t come from me.
Because I’ve witnessed too many people reclaim strength, mobility, confidence, peace, and quality of life.
Sometimes the body changes the moment someone finally feels heard. For some, Therapeutic Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapy become more than treatment — they become the deeper work of reconnecting with the body, releasing what’s been carried for too long, and remembering what it feels like to move through life with less resistance.

The shotgun method for adjusting the P***c Symphysis.

If you're new to Osteopathy, we start with unity 1, the pelvis and the most center first. This is likely to include the joint in between the two illium, the P***c Joint.
