Sometimes care is not about doing more. It is about making sure someone does not have to do it alone. ๐Ÿ’™

Private care can look different for every family.

It might be a few hours of support during the day. Help with meals, personal care, appointments, errands, medications, companionship, or simply having someone there to make the day feel easier.

For some families, it may mean evening or overnight care.

Having a trusted caregiver in the home overnight can provide reassurance when a loved one is at risk of falls, wakes frequently, needs help getting to the bathroom, requires medication support, or simply feels safer knowing someone is nearby.

It can also give family caregivers something they often desperately need: a full night of rest.

Private care should feel personal. Familiar. Calm. Like support that fits naturally into someoneโ€™s life rather than taking it over.

At enABell Health, our RN led approach allows us to look at the whole person and build support around what they actually need, whether that is a few hours of companionship or more involved care throughout the day or night.

Because sometimes the greatest comfort is simply knowing someone is there. ๐Ÿ’™

What kind of support would make the biggest difference for your family?

Now is a good time to make sure you and your family are prepared.

๐ŸŽ’ Put together a **grab and go bag** with medications, important documents, phone chargers, water, snacks and a change of clothes.

๐Ÿพ **Do not forget your pets.** Have food, water, medications, vaccination records, identification, a leash or carrier and a few comfort items packed and ready too.

Preparedness is not about fear. **It is about peace of mind and being ready to look after ourselves and each other.** Check in with family, neighbours and anyone in your community who may need a little extra help preparing.

๐Ÿ”ฅ **Wildfire Smoke Is in the Air. Take Care of Yourself and Each Other.** ๐Ÿ’™

With wildfire smoke affecting our air, a few simple precautions can help protect you and the people you care for.

๐Ÿ  **Keep indoor air as clean as possible**
Close windows and doors when smoke levels are high. If available, use an air purifier or your home ventilation system with a clean filter.

๐ŸŒฟ **Limit time outdoors**
Reduce strenuous outdoor activity when the air is smoky and pay attention to how you are feeling.

๐Ÿ˜ท **Protect yourself when you need to go outside**
A properly fitted N95, KN95, or KF94 respirator can help reduce exposure to the fine particles found in wildfire smoke.

๐Ÿ’ง **Stay hydrated**
Drink plenty of water and take extra care during hot weather.

๐Ÿ“ฑ **Check the air quality before heading out**
Use the Air Quality Health Index to help decide when outdoor activities should be reduced.

๐Ÿ’™ **Check on the people around you**
Older adults, young children, pregnant individuals, and people living with heart, lung, or other chronic health conditions may be more affected by wildfire smoke. A phone call or quick check in with a neighbour or family member can make a difference.

If you experience significant difficulty breathing or another medical emergency, seek emergency medical care.

At **enABell Health**, caring for our community means looking out for one another, especially during challenging days like these.

**Stay safe. Stay connected. Take care of each other.**

๐Ÿ’™ **The Future of Care Is Home**

08/11/2026

Many families assume home care is only needed when someone can no longer manage on their own. In reality, home care often works best when support starts early.

A little help with housekeeping, meal preparation, community outings, medication reminders, or personal care can make a big difference in helping someone maintain their independence and continue living safely at home.

Home care is not about taking away independence. It is about supporting it.

At enABell Health, we see every day how the right support helps seniors and adults with diverse abilities stay connected to their communities, maintain their routines, and continue doing the things that matter most to them.

Because the future of care is home.

Our Meet the Team series continues as we introduce the owners and leaders behind enABell Health.

Next, meet Dangira Eggo, Owner and Chief Operating Officer.

Hi, I'm Dangira!

I was born and raised in Lithuania and began my career in health care in the United Kingdom, where I earned my qualification in Health and Social Care. After moving to Canada, I became a Registered Care Aide and have spent nearly 20 years working in a variety of care settings, including community care, live-in care, and residential facilities.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life, and one thing has always united us allโ€”the need to feel seen, understood, and cared for with compassion and dignity.

I have always felt a strong calling to advocate for those who are navigating the health care system. Whether it's helping families understand their options, connecting them with resources, or simply offering reassurance during difficult times, I am passionate about making sure people don't feel alone in their journey.

Several years ago, I founded Vancouver Island Home Support with the goal of providing personalized, relationship-based care in people's homes. Earlier this year, Vancouver Island Home Support became part of enABell Health, and I couldn't be more excited about this new chapter. Joining forces with people whose values and vision align so closely with my own has been incredibly rewarding. Together, we're building something that feels bigger than any one of usโ€”a team that is deeply committed to compassionate care, advocacy, and helping people live well at every stage of life.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me hiking, cold plunging, spending time with my two children, or soaking up the beauty of Vancouver Island.

I'm incredibly grateful to do work that I love and to be part of a team that is making a meaningful difference in our community every day.
