I dropped 15 Dahlia bouquets off with Tanis and Maureen at Cowichan Hospice House today for the residents and staff to enjoy. I plan to do it every week til the dahlias are done, which won't happen anytime soon. The garden is bursting with them and they just keep coming. Thanks to those who have suggested other organizations to approach. The flowers just want to share their love 💕 and me too.

Starting last year when my Mom was living at Cerwydden extended care, I regularly brought in my Dahlias for the elderly residents to make into bouquets. The joy it brought everyone was pure honey on my heart. And so I decided to do it again this year. I just met with Cowichan Hospice House and will bring them bouquets beginning this week. It feels so good to share their stunning beauty with those that could use a little lift. If you know an organization that offers special support to people in the Cowichan Valley that would appreciate some flowers, do let me know. It is all FREE and the Dahlias will keep producing til the first frost.💕🏵️💞

The harvest is on! Henk is hanging lavender amid the happy bees and I took out the garlic this morning. For those planning to come Pick up your Bliss at the Duncan Market Saturday (tomorrow the 4th), we will be located towards the far end of Ingram Street. We are on the left as you face the musicians. It always surprises me when people tell me "You weren't at the market this week", when what they meant to say was, "I just couldn't find you". We will be there rain or shine, so don't give up! A little reminder from the Bliss that we are at the Duncan Market Saturday 9-2 with fresh herbal treats. Get your face cream, lip balm, soap, ointments and more at our only market this summer. We come out of retirement only 3 X's per year, then go back to smelling the roses! Order on line for pickup or just stop by the market. Looking forward to seeing you! Day 1 of the Bliss Summer Opening ( at www.botanicalbliss.ca) has been a busy one! Parcels are on their way to you as we speak. For those picking up their Bliss at our farm, note that I will put them in a pickup box at the farm stand on the road. The deer (and a couple of bears) have been more assertive than usual this spring, so we are locking our gate all day now. Fortunately, they don't eat face cream so your loot is safe in the stand!
