It's so nice to see love and even cooler to see these highschool sweethearts find each other again later in life. They both raised children, had other loves and heartbreak and through it all came back to realize they were the one all along. Thanks for letting me do this for you love birds 🖤

Healed --> Fresh

My client's story of this piece resonated deeply with me and I'm sure it would with anyone that's gone through deep heartbreak and change.

We wanted to encapsulate the feeling of that first deep breath of freedom and autonomy, gently holding her heart that has been wounded but still finds a way to blossom nevertheless. She holds her head high looking at the brighter future ahead with strength, a slight edge and optimism ✨

Kennedy reached out with the idea of a collaboration, and at the same time, I had been quietly envisioning a shoot at Christie Falls. It was the first hike where I stopped feeling like I was on another Vancouver Island vacation and realized I was exactly where I was meant to be. I was home, with nowhere else I needed to be.

Thank you for trusting me with this exchange, and for allowing me to create a piece that brings a sense of closure in honour of Susan.
