Ts'ewulhtun Health Centre Ts’ewulhtun Health Centre manages public health and communicable disease control and provides health education programs for the Cowichan Tribes

Ts'ewulhtun Health Centre Goals:

1. Delivers programs and services that will encourage and enable individuals to adopt healthy lifestyles
2. Works together with the Cowichan Tribes Council, the Health Advisory Committee, All Services staff, other agencies, and the community to promote an environment, which is supportive of health lifestyle change
3. Incorporates into its programs and services the

traditional ways of the Cowichan people, which demonstrate respect for individuals, families, and the community.
4. Works towards a health service, which is controlled and managed by Cowichan people, and promotes independence, self-determination, and choice.
5. Ensures that the community receives the best care possiblethrough the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of all programs and services offered by the Centre and learning organization practice.
6. Preserves, promotes, and enhances the provision of safe, quality care to members and their families, as well as creates a health work environment or workplace.

The Reclaiming Connections program for caregivers is back from September 10 - November 19, 2026.

Over 10 weeks of online sessions, Kwun'atsustul Counsellors Mellissa Craightten and Elizabeth Ibarra will support caregivers and share ways to build stronger, healthier relationships with teens and youth ages 8-18.

Reclaiming Connections is a 10-week trauma-informed, strength-based, culturally infused and relationally focused program by Connect, that is shaped by Indigenous communities to collaboratively support parents and caregivers of youth aged 8-18 years.

Back-to-school season is the perfect time to check that your child's immunizations are up to date.

Healthy kids make healthy classrooms, and recommended immunizations help protect children, families, Elders, and our community from preventable illnesses.

Drop-in on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 for our Back to School Community Health Event or visit our Children's Health Drop-in Clinic, hosted every Tuesday at Ts'ewulhtun Health Centre (5768 Allenby Rd).

Toddlers, kids, adults and Elders - Join us at Si'em Lelum Gym on Friday, August 28, 2026, for the Family Spirit Program's Mobile Playspace: Community Engagement Infosession!

Cowichan Tribes is receiving grant funding to create an "Inter-generational Nature Playspace" for our community.We want this space to be accessible for everyone, so we're planning to create a "Mobile Playspace" that can move around our community and your drawings will be used as inspiration for the final design!

Come learn about the project the project, share a meal, enter to win door prizes, and draw your dream playspace with us!
