Today I begin teaching the business section in my Death Doula Program. We begin with an intense self care module - please note self care is not just bubble baths but it's understanding energy, frequency, emotions and boundaries too.

My self care this morning started with a walk as the sun was beginning to rise, followed by baking and enjoying the fragrance of lilacs.

I am so excited to be participating in Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Associations Learning Institute series.

In September, I will be facilitating The Hidden Grief of Caregiving.

Caregivers play a vital role in supporting loved ones through serious illness, end-of-life care, and other life transitions, yet their own emotional and practical needs are often overlooked. This Learning Institute session focuses on caregiver wellness and bereavement, exploring the unique challenges, grief, and stress that caregivers experience before, during, and after caregiving.

Quiet grateful reflection filled my morning, enjoying the new blooms open on this beautiful orchid I was lovingly gifted a little while ago.

I picked up a "Date Night with a Book" from recently and it couldn't have been more perfect for me. Grief, loss, animals and compassion, I was hooked from page 1, thank goodness it's weekend 😅 because I couldn't put it down.
