We met so many families today that were either just starting solids or just about to! We had to make sure we got this info out to everyone!

The first 6 months of their eating life is to learn about flavours, textures, managing food in their mouth, managing liquids, and learning how to eat efficiently. It is NOT to add to their nutritional intake.

The more we stress about how much they are rather than how much fun did they have, the more the journey becomes a difficult one.

We are setting up their relationship with food. They are experiencing everything for the first time, it's okay if they take a minute, need to 'warm up' to the idea or are just not sure about it all. If you recognize that, and show your child that this is a safe space and you will not be forced to eat something you weren't prepared to do, you lay the foundation for a healthy food relationship.

We think long term success not quick fixes here!

We had such a wonderful time at the Childcare Expo! 🧸✨ It was great meeting families, connecting with our community, and sharing what our daycare has to offer. One of the highlights was networking with so many professionals who support children and families—from fellow childcare providers and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to nutrition programs and many other community services. It was wonderful learning about the different resources available and making new connections across the field. 💛🌈
