This is a hard one. Mary Kay Ash’s son, Richard, who stood side-by-side with his mother to build our beloved company went to be with the Lord today.
When Mary Kay’s husband suddenly passed away before she opened the doors of the company, Richard quit his job and said he would build it with her. Richard was a master business man. Mary Kay was a servant leader and together they Built a Dream company.
I Mourn and the Mary Kay world mourns the passing of Richard. May he take his rest 🙏🙏🙏

Week 4b - My 20 year Journey with Mary Kay

I am grateful that I was able to find this company in 2005 so that I could bond with my foster daughter. Sarah was a natural make-up artist and she loved being an assistant at my parties. The Mary Kay skin care products also helped my dull dry skin as I built the habit of washing my face morning and evening.

My first five years I built my team and became a director in 2010 and enjoyed director training in Dallas, Texas. For 10 years I enjoyed great sales and earned recognition in the Queen's Court of Sales for several years.
In 2020 after recovering from some health issues I had a quick restart and became a director for the second time. In 2021 I earned my first car and was grateful to receive the cash option as once again my body became very low (lacking in vitamin D). I stepped down from the directorship then took care of getting better. By November 2023 I did another quick restart finishing my Directorship in May 2024 and earned Queens Court!
In October of 2024 I earned my first car and it was delivered May 1st, 2025. At our yearly seminar conference in July I was grateful to be the Rookie Director of the Year!
With Mary Kay I love teaching good skincare and make-up tips and seeing the difference these products make but the joy comes in a new customer becoming a lifelong friend and many part of our Smiling Superstars family - thank you. 😀
Giving back with the Mary Kay Ash Foundation has been a priority as we participate yearly in the MK5K walk. I also enjoy matching gifts each Christmas so that we can sponsor grandparents in local towns where I have regular markets. Our current projects are for chemo care packages and also doing "Makeovers of the Heart" for church ladies groups, widows and retreats!
These activities truly bring joy to my heart and ongoing purpose. Thank you to all who have joined me on this journey.
