Consistent routines give children and youth with high support needs a sense of safety and control. They also make daily caregiving more manageable for families.

Even small shifts, like a predictable morning sequence or a calming wind-down routine, can make a meaningful difference.

If you are looking for tools and support to help your family thrive, we are here.

Offering appropriate choices helps those in care rebuild their sense of agency and reduces the need to fight for control in healthy ways. You don't need to overhaul your routine to offer more autonomy.

These small shifts make a big difference over time.

Caregiver burnout is real, and it affects the whole family.

When we are running on empty, it becomes harder to be the parent or caregiver we want to be. Recognizing the signs early makes a big difference.

The good news? Support is available. Respite care gives caregivers the break they need to recharge and come back stronger. 💙

If any of these signs feel familiar, reach out. We can help. Visit crossroadsfs.ca or call 780-430-7715.

We love sharing community resources that give families a chance to explore, play, and just enjoy the moment together.

The Makery in Sherwood Park offers Open Play sessions for children ages 2 and up, with two hours of hands-on exploration across four spaces: a STEM Lab, Move Lab, Light Lab, and Mess Lab. It's the kind of place where curiosity gets to lead.

Sessions are $25 for the first child, with sibling discounts available. Two caregivers are included in the ticket price.

Head to The Makery's website to check available dates and book your spot. Weekday sessions vary, but most weekends have availability.

Mother's Day looks different for every family. But one thing we know is that caregiving moms give everything they have every single day.

To the moms navigating complex care needs, long nights, and big emotions alongside their children: we see you, and we are so proud to walk alongside you.

Happy Mother's Day from our team at Kinnections.

Caregiving is one of the most meaningful things a person can do. It's also one of the most demanding.

During Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to remind caregivers: your wellbeing matters just as much as the people you care for. Asking for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you need a break, we are here to help.
