NENA-Alberta The National Emergency Nurses Association – Alberta (NENA-AB) is the provincial chapter of the National Emergency Nurses Association (NENA)

What are our objectives?
1. To promote the specialty of emergency nursing.
2. To promote and provide continuing learning opportunities in emergency nursing.
3. To promote interdisciplinary networking/communication opportunities for nurses.
4. To promote and disseminate emergency nursing research.
5. To promote an awareness and liaison with community resources.
6. To identify issues relating to eme

7. To present the views and serve as a resource and support for emergency nurses.
8. To contribute to the collective voice of nursing from the unique perspective of the emergency nurse.

Each NENA-AB conference is held in a different area of the province, and attendees give back to the community through silent auction donations. At the NENA-AB Fall 2025 conference in Jasper, attendees donated a total of $870, which was matched by NENA-AB for a total donation of $1740 to the Jasper Community Team Society in support of the Jasper fire caring community fund. The organization is dedicated to Jasper’s long-term recovery after the July 2024 wildfire. Alberta’s Emergency nurses proudly show their support.
