NENA-Alberta The National Emergency Nurses Association – Alberta (NENA-AB) is the provincial chapter of the National Emergency Nurses Association (NENA)

What are our objectives?
1. To promote the specialty of emergency nursing.
2. To promote and provide continuing learning opportunities in emergency nursing.
3. To promote interdisciplinary networking/communication opportunities for nurses.
4. To promote and disseminate emergency nursing research.
5. To promote an awareness and liaison with community resources.
6. To identify issues relating to emergency nursing.
7. To present the views and serve as a resource and support for emergency nurses.
8. To contribute to the collective voice of nursing from the unique perspective of the emergency nurse.

Hello NENA-AB 2026 Members!

Unfortunately, we must relay some sad news: The NENA-AB Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 conference and gala. There are multiple factors that have led to this decision, and it is not one the NENA - AB Board takes lightly. Rest assured additional education opportunities are already in the works! In the meantime, we encourage you to attend our monthly Knowledge in a Nutshell webinars. See prior posts for upcoming sessions & previous session recordings are found here: https://canva.link/pbpp66b2rwmt7sc

We would also like to promote the AB CACCN and General Systems ICU (GSICU) Critical Care Conference & the ACTN Nurse Trauma Symposium, both October 23, 2026, if that may be of interest to you.

The NENA-AB Annual General Meeting will be held virtually this year, October 22, 2026, at1900. All NENA members will be sent more information in the coming weeks.
