The OBIE is an interactive projector that brings games and activities to life, creating opportunities for movement, conversation, creativity, reminiscing, and fun!

Families are encouraged to explore and enjoy the OBIE together with their loved ones during visits. It’s a wonderful way to spend meaningful time together, share some laughs, and create special memories. ❤️

📍 You can find the OBIE in the 2nd and 3rd floor common areas, with remotes available at the nursing station.

Our recreation therapy team will also be using the OBIE with residents to introduce them to this exciting tool and all of the activities it has to offer!

We hope this provides another opportunity for meaningful engagement outside of scheduled recreation programming times.

🌎✨ Ending August on a high note with our Heritage Days Community Celebration! ✨🌎

What a beautiful afternoon of culture, connection, music, and celebration! Everyone came together to celebrate the many cultures and traditions that make our community so special. ❤️

We were treated to incredible cultural performances by our amazing staff, as well as a wonderful performance by the Filipino Seniors Citizens Association. The energy, talent, and enthusiasm throughout the afternoon was truly something special! 💃🏽🎶

And we may have even discovered a hidden talent along the way… turns out our Maintenance Manager might just be our next country music star! 🤠🎤

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, performed, helped behind the scenes, and came out to celebrate and make this such a special afternoon for the residents! It was your enthusiasm and willingness to share your culture and talents that made this event such a wonderful success.

Here’s to celebrating our heritage, embracing our diversity, and appreciating the incredible people who make our community what it is!! ❤️🌍

Our latest Creative Arts group was filled with creativity, colour, and lots of fun as our residents put their artistic talents to work! 🖌️💐 We absolutely love seeing the beautiful pieces they create and the joy that comes from creating together.

🎶 Elvis tunes, a little Elton John, some John Denver, and everything in between! 🎤🎸

Thank you to our wonderful musician, Mark Courtnage, for making it such a memorable afternoon filled with music, singing, laughter, and lots of smiles! ❤️☀️

We invite you to join us for our resident family barbecues!! 🍉🌭🍔🥗

3rd floor residents and their loved ones will be hosted on September 2nd at 4:30-6:30pm, while 2nd floor residents and their loved ones will be hosted on September 16th from 4:30-6:30pm in the Lakeview Dining Room.

Please note, a reservation is required for any guests planning to attend and each resident may be accompanied by a maximum of 2 guests.

We ROCK! 🪨🎨

Some creative fun was happening outdoors in our courtyard this week. residents enjoyed the beautiful weather while getting creative and turning ordinary rocks into unique works of art. ☀️🌿

Through Recreation Therapy, activities like this provide more than just a creative outlet—they create opportunities for purposeful leisure, self-expression, social connection, and a sense of accomplishment. 💛

And there’s even more to look forward to! Many of these resident-made creations will be available for purchase at our upcoming Resident Craft Sale at the end of September. 🛍️✨

The best part? The proceeds will go right back toward supporting residents and creating meaningful experiences for them. Talk about art with a purpose! 💕🎨
