Sometimes the pain we carry has roots we haven’t had the chance to understand.

Looking deeper doesn’t mean blaming ourselves or getting stuck in the past. Sometimes it means gently asking: What has shaped me? What has affected the way I respond, connect, or protect myself?

That awareness can be difficult. It can bring up things we may not have been ready to look at before. But it can also help us understand ourselves with more compassion and give us room to begin doing things differently.

At Heart Spirit, there is room to explore those deeper places with care, understanding, and grace.

Sometimes breaking the cycle means becoming the person you needed when you were younger.

Growing up around violence and addiction brought a lot of hurt and loss. Finding sobriety and choosing a different path wasn’t easy, but it created a deeper understanding of what it means to need someone who truly understands.

If you’ve lived through something similar, you don’t have to carry your story alone.

Your story matters. You are supported. You are loved.

We were honoured to show our gratitude to our HSHW family by gathering for our Community Bar-B-Q at kihcihkaw askî – Sacred Lan

We prayed for no rain, and Creator blessed us with a bright, shining sun. 🌞

🦅As soon as we arrived, an eagle soared above the grounds—a beautiful blessing to begin our gathering.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special.🧡 We were grateful for the amazing turnout and honoured to close our celebration together with a Round Dance.
