For many women, healthcare doesn’t begin and end with an appointment. It includes the unseen work of deciding what to say, advocating to be heard, and managing the details of their own care.

Released today, the 2026 Blue Cross Women’s Health Study explores this hidden labour and the experiences shaping how women navigate Canada's healthcare system.

Among the findings, nearly two-thirds (64%) of Canadian women have health topics they find difficult to raise with their physician.

Understanding these experiences is an important step in creating an environment where women feel heard, supported, and confident speaking up.

Traci knows that reality all too well.

We’re excited to introduce ABCs of Alberta Business, a new series that goes behind the scenes with our group plan members and the people keeping Alberta’s small businesses going.

First up is Traci, co-founder of Bliss MediSpa & Integrated Wellness.

While Bliss is all about relaxation, taking time for yourself and creating a judgement-free space, Traci will be the first to tell you that running a business is anything but zen.

Behind the calm is hard work, big decisions, a dedicated team and knowing when to ask for help. We’re excited to share more of Traci’s heartfelt journey and the story behind the business she’s built.

Full story will drop Friday.

Ready for retirement? Or just starting to think about it? Slower mornings, the trip you’ve been talking about for years, time with people you have been meaning to see more of. Health coverage is part of what helps make all of that possible. And it's easier sorted now than worked out later.

So we’re hosting a free webinar on September 23. Our benefit advisors will explain what happens when workplace benefits end, what government coverage includes and how Alberta Blue Cross retirement benefits can help fill potential gaps and how to determine what coverage you may need. Bring your questions.

While there’s no rush on the retirement decision itself, reserve your spot today and enjoy a little preview of retirement. Our free Sneak Peek into Retirement box includes curated items to help you embrace slower mornings and the retirement mindset.

If you’re thinking of joining us, don’t wait too long: webinar spots are limited and the boxes are available only while supplies last.
