Submission Case Study
Concern: Post-acne textural irregularity, visible acne scarring, enlarged pores, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation on the lateral cheek/jawline area.
Treatment Focus: Improvement of skin texture, reduction in visible atrophic acne scarring, and overall evening of skin tone.
Case Summary:
The client presented with acne-related scarring and uneven pigmentation concentrated along the cheek and beard-line area. The baseline image shows multiple shallow atrophic scars, uneven surface texture, and scattered brown-red post-inflammatory marks.
Following treatment, the after image demonstrates visible improvement in overall skin smoothness, reduced prominence of acne scarring, and a more even tone. The treated area appears calmer, with less textural shadowing and a reduction in post-inflammatory discoloration. Some residual pigmentation and minor scarring remain, which is expected in acne-scar revision cases and may continue to improve with additional sessions and proper home care.
Observed Results:
* Softer appearance of acne scars
* Improved skin texture and smoothness
* Reduced visibility of post-inflammatory marks
* More even overall complexion
* Healthier-looking skin quality
Clinical Note:
Acne scar revision typically requires a series of treatments, as collagen remodeling occurs gradually. Results vary depending on scar depth, skin type, inflammation history, and adherence to aftercare, especially sun protection.
Visible improvement in acne scarring, uneven texture, and post-inflammatory pigmentation following treatment. Acne scar correction is a gradual process, but this case shows a clear improvement in skin smoothness and overall tone.
