NICE has officially released draft guidance highlighting major advancements in endometriosis diagnosis. For too long, the path to answers has been hindered by invasive diagnostic procedures. In Canada, girls and women spend years on waitlists just to access diagnostic imaging tests that can detect advanced disease, but can't exclude disease. It's led to a reliance on laparoscopic surgery just to make a diagnosis. Now, two innovative, non-invasive technologies—Endotest and ENDOSURE—are being recognized for their potential to transform patient care, and as distributors for ENDOSURE test in Canada, we couldn't be more excited. 🧬
Endotest utilizes saliva analysis to identify microRNA biomarkers and is appropriate for those between 18 and 43 years old. ENDOSURE test is most similar to an ECG and uses abdominal sensor pads to track electrical gut signals that are unique in endometriosis sufferers. Testing is appropriate for born female patients of ALL ages. By prioritizing these rapid, accurate, and patient-centered diagnostic tools, the UK is moving closer to ending the multi-year wait for a diagnosis. In North America, Canadian gynecologists are already onboarding ENDOSURE test into their clinics to provide rapid and accurate diagnostics and medical care for girls and women to improve their quality of life and help treat underlying causes of infertility.
