Residents at the Gene Zwozdesky Centre at Norwood celebrated Mother’s Day with a special fashion show with Pieces by Sharon! 💐✨

Residents proudly modelled the beautiful clothing during the fashion show, bringing lots of smiles, confidence, and fun to the afternoon. In the weeks leading up to Mother’s Day, residents also participated in a six-week flower-making sessional, creating handmade flowers that were used to put together our Mother’s Day sign. 🌸💖

The celebration was filled with joy and connection as we honored the amazing mothers and mother figures in our home. Thank you to Pieces by Sharon for helping make the day so special!

Last Friday residents from Laurier House at CapitalCare Strathcona, enjoyed their Mother's Day Social. Residents were treated to homemade fruit pizza and mimosas. All of the moms also received Mother's Day cards and a small flower made and gifted by a very special mother from Laurier House. Big thanks as well to Brittany Blommaert for entertaining us with her lovely voice.

The signs of spring are finally here. Residents at CapitalCare Strathcona have enjoyed watching a Canada goose return to nest at the site once again. Nesting just outside the dining room window residents have been able to watch the goose's progress with six or seven goslings arriving today.

to the Annual Curling Bonspiel at CapitalCare Kipnes Centre for Veterans. This bonspiel brings the community together through playing and cheering, the between game camaraderie, and of course some great competition.
