One of the questions we get most is what to do about microneedling when your skin is still breaking out.

Our pen takes different serums depending on what we’re working on, and one of them is made for active acne. So it isn’t a case of waiting for everything to settle down before you book anything.

The treatments you want in May are the ones that have to start now.

Laser and peel work runs on a low sun-exposure window. In Edmonton that window opens in the fall and closes when the sun comes back. The treatments people want in May are the ones that had to start in October.

Laser hair removal runs as a series across months, which is why a spring start means spending the summer halfway through it. Hair restoration is a six-month protocol, so a September start puts you at month six in March. Peels and microneedling run in a series too, and the runway to December is shorter than it looks from here.

Picking a wrinkle treatment before anyone has looked at which kind of lines you have is how a year goes by with nothing changing.

There is no standard answer to how often you should come in.

Most people book when their skin starts bothering them, leave a gap, then book again when it bothers them again. Not because they are doing it wrong. Nobody has laid out what each treatment actually runs on.

A hydrofacial and a laser series are not on the same clock. Peels and microneedling are booked as a series, not as a one-off. Laser hair removal is safe for all skin types and it starts in winter, which means next summer gets decided in December. Hair restoration is a six-month protocol and it does not shortcut.
